BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 48% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Andrew Heaney has been on a hot streak and should be able to take advantage of an injury. With Shohei Ohtani sidelined, Heaney is likely to see two starts in Week 11, making him one of the better waiver wire moves.
Heaney dominated his last outing against the Royals, allowing just one hit in a complete game shutout while striking out four batters. He has a 3.12 ERA this season (supported by a 3.18 FIP) and has also struck out 58 batters while walking 19 in 60 2/3 innings.
He will get two divisional opponents this week, facing the Mariners in Seattle and the Athletics in Oakland. In his career, Heaney is 1-1 with a 2.35 ERA in three starts against Seattle and 2-1 with a 3.79 ERA in three outings against Oakland. This season, Heaney has allowed two earned runs, or less, in seven of the last eight outings, including four performances with at least five strikeouts during that span. Heaney should be owned in all leagues, regardless of his two starts this week, and should be scooped up immediately.
