BALLER MOVE: Add in Two-Catcher Leagues, AL-Only Leagues (if you're desperate)
ANALYSIS: Let's be very honest here for a second - Alex Avila hasn't done squat to warrant him a good fantasy baseball reputation, or a waiver wire pickup, since his one outlier season in 2011 when he hit .295 with 19 HR and 82 runs batted in. That one year, he was one of the best (if not the best) sleepers and fantasy catchers doing it. Since then, he has been one of the worst! With that being said, he plays everyday at a valuable position, for a contending team, and although he is by far not the most glamorous option available on deeper mixed leagues waiver wires (where he should be 1000% ignored), he should have a roster spot for anyone playing in a 2 catcher league, or an AL-Only format where position scarcity and playing sometimes time prevail over glamorous counting stats.
