DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/16/22): Top NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on February 16, 2022. John Brubaker provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Wednesday, RotoBallers! I hope last night's slate of NBA DFS treated you well. I'm continuing to work on my NBA model, trying to gather more information to make sure all of you are as armed as possible going into each slate. Even with the small adjustments I've made so far, it seems to be working. I'm trying to implement different factors to separate cash options against GPP options. I'll continue to keep you all updated with the adjustments I make, and with all of that said, let's get to tonight!

Tonight we have a nice slate, with 11 games on tap. With now both FanDuel and DraftKings having multi-position eligibility players, we'll have to attack slates a bit differently to make our lineups as optimal as possible. That's where I come in! I'll look to find my personal top plays and values for tonight's slate. Things can change during the day as well, so I'll do my best to update as news comes out!

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 2/16/22. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s NBA injury news and also our full NBA injury report today to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Tyrese Haliburton - vs WAS (FD: $9,300, DK: $8,400)

I'll start tonight's slate off with Tyrese Haliburton. Haliburton has been killing it since arriving on the Pacers, and he's a 1.17 FanDuel and 1.22 DraftKings points per minute player in his situation. Since joining the Pacers, he's played no less than 36 minutes, so we can reasonably expect him to play 36+ minutes tonight. He's a bit pricy on FanDuel but I'll continue to roster him on DraftKings until they adjust his price.

Josh Giddey, vs SA (FD: $7,200, DK: $8,300)

Giddey is another guy who's been killing it lately, and he's making a serious case to win Rookie of the Year. He had a massive performance with a 28 point triple-double in Monday's win against the Knicks. He's a 1.27 FanDuel and 1.32 DraftKings points per minute player in this situation and is in a solid position against the Spurs in what could very well be a high-scoring game. The Spurs rank 20th in point guard efficiency, and I'm personally looking forward to Giddey and Dejounte Murray going back and forth tonight.

Tre Mann, vs SA (FD: $5,300, DK: $4,900)

Another Thunder player I'm looking at tonight is Tre Mann. Mann is coming off a 30 point performance Monday against the Knicks and should continue to keep it rolling with the slew of guys missing for Oklahoma City tonight. Mann is a 1.09 FanDuel and 1.11 DraftKings points per minute player and with SGA, Dort and co. out tonight I can reasonably expect Mann to play 28+ minutes tonight. He's a solid value option on both sites and in all formats tonight.

Also consider: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (FD: $4,200, DK: $4,400), Aaron Wiggins (FD: $3,600, DK: $3,000)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Kyle Kuzma, vs DAL (FD: $7,700, DK: $8,600)

Kuzma was a disappointment on Monday night, going scoreless in the fourth quarter. He should bounce back tonight against the Pacers, who come in a back-to-back. On the surface, the matchup is rather difficult as the Pacers come in ranked 2nd in power forward efficiency. However, he's a 1.14 FanDuel and 1.18 DraftKings points per minute player in this situation and should play north of 35 minutes. Kuzma and the Wizards have been reliable cash options, especially on FanDuel, but I'll likely just roster him in GPPs on DraftKings.

Wendell Carter Jr., vs ATL (FD: $6,900, DK: $7,300)

I remember early in the season it was Mo Bamba as the safer "cash" option while Carter Jr. was the GPP option. Carter Jr. went on a tear despite the blowout loss to Denver on Monday, logging 25 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists. He's a 1.09 FanDuel and 1.11 DraftKings points per minute in this situation. The Hawks rank 24th in power forward efficiency and will be without John Collins tonight.

Keldon Johnson, at OKC (FD: $5,800, DK: $5,700)

Since the deadline, Keldon Johnson has had himself a couple of nice games. He struggled on Monday, logging just 13 points, three rebounds, and two assists. He's playing at least 30 minutes, and he's a 0.83 FanDuel and 0.87 DraftKings points per minute guy in his current situation. I prefer to only play him in GPPs, but I think he'll be able to take advantage of a banged-up Thunder lineup that already ranks 23rd in power forward efficiency.

Also consider: Aleksej Pokusevski (FD: $5,000, DK: $4,000), Deni Avdija (FD: $5,600, DK: $4,800)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jusuf Nurkic, at MEM (FD: $7,600, DK: $8,800)

Nurkic has been killing it since the trade deadline, and he's coming off a 23 point, 16 rebound, four-assist performance in just 30 minutes on Monday against the Bucks. He's a 1.24 FanDuel and 1.26 DraftKings points per minute player in this situation, and he should keep the ball rolling tonight against the Grizzlies in what should be another high-scoring game. I certainly prefer to play him on FanDuel over DraftKings due to the staunch difference in price.

Mitchell Robinson, at MIN (FD: $6,700, DK: $5,900)

I don't mind riding the hot hand here, as Robinson is coming off a 14 point, 17 rebound, four-block, and four-steal performance on Monday against the Thunder. Nerlens Noel isn't expected to play tonight, meaning Robinson should play around 30+ minutes. He's a 1.02 FanDuel and 0.98 DraftKings points per minute player in his situation, and he should be able to take advantage of a softer matchup against Andre Drummond and the new-look Nets tonight.

Also consider: Isaiah Roby (FD: $4,200, DK: $3,400), Onyeka Okongwu (FD: $4,000, DK: $3,500)
