Thanksgiving NFL DFS GPP Stacks for FanDuel, DraftKings

Dak Prescott - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Mark Kieffer's NFL DFS stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings tournaments for Thanksgiving of the 2021 NFL season. These GPP stacks are worth considering for daily fantasy football lineups.

Welcome back to another week of NFL DFS GPP Stacks! This is where I talk about the slate and give three stacks you should consider for your GPP lineups!

I generally make 3-5 lineups, because it is hard to nail every stack. I use a different stack for each GPP lineup and hope one of them pops to the top of the standings! If I win a GPP with one lineup and do not cash in the other six, I will still have a very nice day and win a good chunk of cash!

Before just diving into the picks for this week, some reminders about guidelines I use for stacks:

I want games with high point-scoring totals and close point spreads. The scoring part is obvious (more scoring = more fantasy points) but the game being close makes a bring-back player viable and keeps the team that is up playing with urgency throughout the game.

I generally want to fade a stack combination that is projected to be the most popular in the slate. This means I may choose to stack up that team different from the crowd, or I may do an outright fade. With that said, onto the picks!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Slate Context

This is a three-game slate where Raiders-Cowboys have the point total set at 51 points, followed by Bills-Saints set at 46.5, and then Bears-Lions set at 41.5 points. Furthermore, Wide Receiver is a mess with CeeDee Lamb potentially being out and Amari Cooper potentially being out. It very well could be Stefon Diggs at the top and then everyone else.

This is one of those slates in which you need a plan, depending on what type of contests you are entering. If entering large field GPPs such as the Milly-Maker then you a be a way to get different. You are going to have to get super contrarian and go off the board. If playing small field GPPs and single-entry contests, having a double-stack with a bring-back would be the way to go. I believe a lot of lineups will have the best pieces from multiple games and being overweight on one game is a way to potentially take advantage of that.

Kind Of Obvious: Las Vegas Raiders

A high-point total game and Dallas being a seven-point favorite in this spot doesn't add up. The Cowboys' offense looked lost without Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb and Tyron Smith is still hurt as well. If all or most of those players are active, then I could see it. If not, I think the Raiders have a great shot to win. Derek Carr is averaging 304.1 passing yards per game, Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller have performed as of recently. I would look at stacking Carr-Renfrow-Waller and including a player as a bring back from the Cowboys such as Michael Gallup, Dalton Schultz, Ezekiel Elliott, or Tony Pollard. If Cooper and Lamb are out, I like targeting the Raiders DST along with either Ezekiel Elliott or Tony Pollard as the bring-back options.

The Weekly Target: Buffalo Bills

I believe every week this season they have played, I have stacked the Buffalo Bills. There is so much upside on that team which makes them hard to fade. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs are the most expensive players at their respective positions, but there is potential for so much value on this slate, it won't be impossible to fit them in. New Orleans has the No. 22 pass defense, allowing 252.2 passing yards per game. Yes there is a lower total game and the Saints have a reputation for having a good defense, but this is a spot the Bills could score some points, especially coming off a disappointing game against Indianapolis.

What is interesting with Buffalo is that there are a few different directions one can go whether it be straightforward with Allen-Diggs-Beasley, or Allen-Beasley-Sanders, or Allen-Diggs-Knox, or Allen-Beasley-Knox.

Potentially Gross: Chicago Bears

With such a low point total, it is difficult to think many people will look to stack teams from the other games. Detroit has the No. 31 rushing defense and the No. 13 pass defense. Most DFS players I imagine will look to roster the running game (Chicago has the No. 24 rushing defense as well). A way to have direct leverage on the tournament field is to target the passing game and hope things get real weird on Thanksgiving. Darnell Mooney had 16 targets last week, Marquise Goodwin had eight. If Andy Dalton can have a good game, this is a way to get very different from the field, especially in a single entry or limited entry tournament. It also has very high bust potential, as it has a low total on the slate for a reason.

Final Thoughts

The excitement of playing DFS on Thanksgiving is real, especially with a chance to take down a million dollars. Who to target in a stack will depend on what type of contest one is playing. With a small slate, do not be afraid to get different from the field, whether it be a different roster construction or targeting a different game than most are doing.

Thanks for reading, and I wish you the best of luck with your Thanksgiving DFS Stacks!
