Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - MLB Hitter, Pitcher Lineup Picks for Friday 6/18

Top daily fantasy baseball streamers and waiver wire adds for 6/18/21. Mike Marteny identifies MLB hitters and starting pitchers to stream based on matchups.

Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to make up for streaming Brubaker yesterday in a decent matchup, we can help. Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.

It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.

We only have six pitchers who are over 90% rostered and another five that are above 50%. That leaves us two-thirds of the entire pitching pool to choose from tonight. We don't have many days like these, so let's see what we can pull out of this nice fishing hole here!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Hitter Streamers for 6/18 - Shallow Leagues

Jonathan Villar (2B/SS/3B, SHB, NYM) - 36.9% Rostered

Matchup: at WAS RHP Joe Ross

Ross has been good of late, but so has Villar. He is hitting .294 with a homer, three runs, and two steals over the last week. The lack of RBI is a bit concerning, but Villar can't control what his teammates are and aren't doing. The fact is that Villar can possibly help in both power and speed. That's exactly what we are looking for in a streamer.

Joey Votto (1B, LHB, CIN) - 36.6% Rostered

Matchup: at SD RHP Chris Paddack

Remember him? Votto is partying (and hitting) like it's 2010. He is hitting .296 with three homers, seven runs scored, and 11 RBI in the last week alone! Injuries and age have taken their toll on Votto since 2017, but it seems like he has a few stretches like this still where he's feeling good and it translates to success at the plate. This wont last forever, so hop on while he's hot! It doesn't hurt that he facing a guy that has allowed six homers over his last four starts either.

Ty France (1B/2B, RHB, SEA) - 32.2% Rostered

Matchup: vs. TB RHP Michael Wacha

Wacha hasn't started a game since the end of April, but with Tyler Glasnow going down, he's back in the rotation for now. This is good news for Seattle considering Wacha has allowed at least one run in each of his last four appearances. It's not like he did anything to earn this promotion. France is 9-23 during his modest six-game hitting streak with two homers, six RBI, and six runs scored in that span. We can all use those counting stats!

Alex Kirilloff (OF/1B, LHB, MIN) - 27.9% Rostered

Matchup: at TEX RHP Mike Foltynewicz

It was fun while it lasted, but the wheels are off of Folty again. After going three starts without allowing a homer, he has allowed five in his last three starts. Okay, that's not terrible, but this is: Folty has allowed 13 runs (12 earned) over just 6.1 innings in his last two starts. He has only struck out three batters in that span and is back to allowing a ton of fly balls. Meanwhile, Kiriloff seems to be getting back on track. He is 4-11 with a homer and two RBI over the last three games.

Hitter Streamers for 6/18 - Deeper Leagues

Zach McKinstry (2B/OF, LHB, LAD) - 16.7% Rostered

Matchup: at ARI LHP Caleb Smith

There are worse things for your fantasy team than a guy batting in the bottom third of a potent order. This is waivers people, not draft day. McKinstry is hitting .350 with five RBI in the last week, but has only scored one run. Smith isn't going deep into games and is still allowing a lot of baserunners. Considering that McKinstry has excelled at getting on base lately, this seems like a good plug into your fantasy lineup.

Bobby Bradley (1B, LHB, CLE) - 12.4% Rostered

Matchup: at PIT RHP Chad Kuhl

I get it. You're salty because Bradley has to occupy your UTIL slot in ESPN leagues since he's only DH-eligible. Some players are worth getting over it for. Bradley is hitting .393 with three homers, ten RBI, and seven runs scored in just 28 at-bats. Two of those homers have come in the last three games. Now he gets a pitcher that hasn't allowed less than two runs in a game since his first start of the season. Let Bradley hang out in your UTIL slot today. He should be worth it.

Myles Straw (OF, RHB, HOU) - 12% Rostered

Matchup: vs. CWS LHP Carlos Rodon

Look, I'm a Carlos Rodon truther, so this isn't taking a shot at him. This is more about recognizing a lineup in Houston that is blistering hot right now. Straw is hitting .389 with a homer, a steal, two RBI, and five runs scored in the last week and he has done so batting ninth. That's how potent this offense is. That also means that if you want a piece of it and have to hit the wire, Straw is the only one you have a shot at. It might be worth taking it here.

Bobby Dalbec (1B, RHB, BOS) - 9.3% Rostered

Matchup: at KC RHP Jackson Kowar

Kowar has allowed eight runs in just two innings combined in his first two major league starts. The Royals are sticking with him, so that means we should go after him. Much like the Houston offense, Boston is heating up right now and Dalbec is one of the few pieces available for free. Dalbec is hitting .296 with two homers, five RBI, and four runs scored in the last week so it's not like you're picking up a struggling piece. It looks like things are going to get worse for Kowar before they get better. Make sure you get in on some of this action.

Pitcher Streamer for 6/18 - Shallow Leagues

James Kaprielian (RHP, OAK) - 38.8% rostered

Matchup: at Yankees

Kaprielian will finally get to make his Yankee Stadium debut. He was originally drafted by the Yankees, but was dealt to Oakland in the Sonny Gray deal in 2017. People have been slow to come around to Kaprielian and I'm not sure why. The 2.51 ERA and 1.18 WHIP are solid. So are the 35 strikeouts in 32.1 innings. The Yankees still aren't hitting right-handed pitching all that well, but after hitting just 25 homers in the month of May, the Bronx Bombers are back to form with 22 already in June. The .238 BABIP on Kaprielian seems unsustainable, as does his 86.6% strand rate. However, the strikeouts are for real, and he has a nice shot at a win against Jameson Taillon. Even if he doesn't live up to the 2.51 ERA, he should still turn in a solid outing without hurting your ratios much.

Zach Davies (RHP, CHC) - 31.7% rostered

Matchup: vs. Miami

The season numbers on Davies are ugly, and for good reason. He had a 9.47 ERA in April. However, Davies has a 1.86 ERA since and has only given up more than three runs once in that span. Davies keeps the ball in the park, but he doesn't offer much in the way of strikeouts and hasn't had a walk-free outing this season. Now the good news: The Marlins are hitting just .217 on the road and scored just three runs combined in a three game series at Busch Stadium that ended yesterday. The .292 BABIP seems a touch high. Davies' stats are still correcting from a rough April. Due to his current strong run, there's a good chance that Davies helps your ERA and might pick up a win if you can deal with a slightly elevated WHIP.

Pitcher Streamers for 6/18 - Deeper Leagues

Joe Ross (RHP, WAS) - 12.3% rostered

Matchup: vs. Mets

The Mets got owned by Kyle Hendricks last night, who throws roughly 85 mph. It's going to be quite a culture shock starting down Ross, who throws consistently around 94 mph. We've seen this from Ross before. He does just enough to make us believe, then get blasted in his next outing. However, Ross hasn't given up a run in 14 June innings while striking out 13 and issuing just two walks. The strikeouts are up and walks are down, which has been the knock on Ross all along. There's a lot of potential for those of you in deep leagues.
