Kyle Gibson Throws Eight Strong Innings
4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Kyle Gibson allowed three runs over eight strong innings during the club's 6-3 win over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. The veteran right-hander allowed three hits and two walks. The three runs allowed came on a two-run homer to Byron Buxton and a solo shot to Willians Astudillo. The two homers allowed on Tuesday were the first balls he's allowed to clear the outfield fence this season. Gibson also struck out eight batters and induced nine ground-ball outs. On the season, he has a 2.40 ERA with a K-BB of 35-13 in 41 1/3 innings. He's a solid option in deep fantasy leagues moving forward given his sustained resurgence.
