FanDuel MMA DFS Lineup Picks: Nunes vs. Spencer - UFC 250 Daily Fantasy

Dennis' FanDuel DFS lineup picks for UFC 250: Nunes vs. Spencer on 6/6/20. Read his MMA DFS analysis, and build winning daily fantasy MMA lineups.

After a challenging and active month of May for the organization, the Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to its Apex facility for UFC 250. The card features some significant bouts, with the event being headlined by arguably the greatest women's combat sports athlete of all time, Amanda Nunes, defending her Featherweight title against Felicia Spencer.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy MMA lineup picks for FanDuel for UFC 250 on 6/6/2020. You can check out our DraftKings MMA DFS picks as well. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced fighters and value picks on FanDuel.

UFC 250 Featherweight - MMA DFS Lineup Picks

Amanda Nunes, $23 - vs. Felicia Spencer

Bovada Sportsbook has Nunes' odds set at -650, a realistic figure based on her historical reign of terror in the sport. The 32-year-old has defeated some of the world's most celebrated names throughout her career, holding victories over Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm, and Miesha Tata. She will be making her first Featherweight title defense since handling Cris Cyborg in 51 seconds for the belt at UFC 232 back in December of 2018.

Her accolades speak for themselves. She hasn't lost a fight since UFC 178 and has seven title fight victories since becoming both the Bantamweight and Featherweight Champion, good for fourth among active fighters. Since that loss to Cat Zingano in 2014, Nunes has beaten six of her 10 opponents all within the first round.

Spencer will enter this contest with an 8-1 professional record, which includes three fights in the UFC. Her organizational debut was solidified with a rear-naked choke submission victory over Australian Megan Anderson before tasting her first career defeat at the hands of Cyborg at UFC 240. She bounced back by dispatching Zarah Fairn Dos Santos in February before ultimately being rewarded with a shot at Nunes on Saturday night.

If Spencer were to defeat Nunes for the championship, it would have significant ramifications in nearly every DFS tournament, primarily since "The Lioness" will have such a commanding presence in nearly every lineup. However, while anyone has a shot at winning on a night-to-night basis, odds are Nunes walks away with her eighth title defense win. She has won 72 percent of her career fights by knockout, so it is logical to assume that this one could end early, especially since "Feenom" isn't the most skilled combatant when she isn't working on the mat.

UFC 250 Bantamweight - MMA DFS Lineup Picks

Sean O'Malley, $22 - vs. Eddie Wineland

O'Malley is looking even more shredded than usual heading into this battle and will be looking for his 12th career victory as a professional. After popping a few times for ostarine, he made his return to the octagon in March at UFC 248 after having not fought for two years. The result saw the 25-year-old beat down Jose Alberto Quinonez via TKO. With a win here, he will likely shoot up the rankings in the Bantamweight Division.

While O'Malley has had an impressive career, Wineland's hasn't been as stellar. He has 24 wins and 13 losses and has lost seven of his 13 fights in the UFC. He hasn't fought since UFC 238 and is outmatched in the standing game, which has been his bread and butter throughout the years.

Don't expect this fight to go to the mat or last long for that matter as both men will likely come out swinging. "Sugar" has a considerable reach advantage and may knock out Wineland before the end of the first round.

UFC 250 Bantamweight - MMA DFS Lineup Picks

Raphael Assuncao, $15 - vs. Cody Garbrandt

This battle will showcase a wrestler against a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner as both Assuncao and Garbrandt will attempt to get back in the win column. Assuncao is coming off back-to-back losses, with defeats coming at the hands of veteran Marlon Moraes and Cory Sandhagen. Having not fought since August at UFC 241, he will be competing for the first time in 2020.
Garbrandt, on the other hand, has lost his last three-straight, falling twice to the Duane "Bang" Ludwig protege T.J. Dillashaw before getting knocked out by Pedro Munhoz at UFC 235.

Garbrandt, a former Bantamweight champion, has expressed his desire to fight at Flyweight moving forward, but a win here would catapult him up in the rankings, potentially setting up a title shot in either division somewhere down the line.

While "No Love" has displayed some heavy hands over the years, this fight may head to the mat, with Assuncao, a BJJ Black Belt, possibly having a slight advantage. Though Garbrandt likely won't be the one to get taken down, Assuncao will look to utilize his submission knowledge and exploit an opening when possible, even while on his back.

Also Consider: Alonzo Menifield ($21), Herbert Burns ($18), Chase Hooper ($16), Cory Sandhagen ($15), Brian Kelleher ($12), Devin Clark ($11)
