BALLER MOVE: Add in Two-QB Leagues
OWNED IN: 14% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Gardner Minshew mania has reached a fever pitch. The mustachioed signal-caller has led the Jaguars to two straight wins and has thrown for 905 yards, seven touchdowns and only one interception in four games to begin the year with Nick Foles (collarbone) on Injured Reserve. The sixth-round rookie has a way of using his legs to extend plays and find open receivers, and he's also rushed 12 times for 82 yards.
While he hasn't thrown for over 275 yards in any one game, Minshew has been efficient (69.4% completion rate) and has avoided making many mistakes. He has a lot of help in the backfield in Leonard Fournette, who is finally looking like a solid RB1. Minshew has developed a good chemistry in the passing game with D.J. Chark and has been spreading it around to Dede Westbrook and Chris Conley as well.
He has a tough draw with the Panthers Defense in Week 5, but Minshew will have plus matchups with the Saints, Bengals, Jets and Texans following that before the Week 10 bye. The first-year QB doesn't have a high ceiling in this run-first offense, but you could do a lot worse with your second quarterback in two-QB leagues.
