BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 21% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Sometimes players will fly under the radar because they don't stand out in any category but instead give you a little bit everywhere. Case in point, Chicago White Sox outfielder Leury Garcia, who is only 21%-owned in all Yahoo leagues despite being #179 on the player rater, ahead of players like Tommy Pham and Jean Segura. Garcia has a .287 AVG with seven home runs, 34 RBI, 76 runs scored, and 14 stolen bases, and is eligible at shortstop as well as in the outfield.
While not standing out in any category, Garcia's six stolen bases in his last 25 games, are tied for fifth-most in baseball over that time, while his .288 AVG and 17 runs scored are both in the top-50. This week, Garcia and the Pale Hose have a full week, going on the road to face the Twins for three games before coming home to face the Rangers for a four-game set. Now is the time of year when name value is less important than actual production and it may be time to see if the bottom of your roster could be improved by adding the boring but steady production of Garcia.
