FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (4/10/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

We get a robust five-game playoff slate tonight for both DraftKings and FanDuel. You should be looking at teams in higher over-under games.

Remember, when picking around for plays, an over/under of 6.5 dictates offense, but an over/under of 5.5 tilts towards the goalies. Watch to see what the Tampa Bay and Columbus contest is set at. It should stay at 6.5.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/10/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @ChrisWasselDFS. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Tomas Hertl - C, SJS vs VGK (FD - $6,500, DK - $6,100)

Hertl finished the season with 11 points in ten games. His shot volume is okay lately around two a game which could trouble DFS owners. However, Hertl has carried the ability to shoot around 20% all season. There has been little regression. San Jose's power play can be very strong and Hertl has scored 11 times on the man advantage. Vegas did allow four goals in both of Marc-Andre Fleury's starts going into the postseason. San Jose scored 17 goals in their final five games. The expectation of goals is high and a reason why Hertl should be rostered at a price which is reasonable.

Filip Forsberg - W, NSH vs DAL (FD - $7,100, DK - $5,900)

Forsberg looked more like himself over the final five or six games of the regular season. The fact that DraftKings underpriced him a bit helps. He scored four times and totaled seven points in his last nine contests. Also, he averaged nearly three shots a game in this span. At even strength, Forsberg and Viktor Arvidsson are one of the best advantages at even strength in the entire NHL. Dallas' depth defensemen could have their hands full against the Nashville top line at home especially. The lock as far as options go will be Nikita Kucherov but a Forsberg on DraftKings will save quite a bit of money. Furthermore, that allocates money to spend elsewhere.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Jacob Trouba - D, WPG vs STL (FD - $6,000, DK - $5,500)

Trouba struck late with ten points overall in his last ten games. His floor is good enough to offset his moderately high-price tag (4,5 shots and blocked shots per night). Winnipeg improving at 5 on 5 is important given how bad they were. If St. Louis has an Achilles' heel, it is pace which sometimes forces them into taking penalties. That is where Trouba has excelled of late. Three points on the power play in the last ten games pace out to 25 a season which is not bad. Early on in series, keying in on hot players and matchups against is vital. This appears to be a matchup to exploit on Wednesday night.

Colton Parayko - D, STL vs WPG (FD - $4,700, DK - $4,600)

Parayko's lower price might last several days to a week. In the meantime, his price is that low because of lack of production. With six assists in his last nine games, things are looking up for anyone who owns the tall St. Louis defenseman. Keying in on these matchups with high-floor possibilities is paramount to success. Finally, see where Paryako is on the power play or if at all on Wednesday afternoon.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Robin Lehner - G, NYI vs PIT (FD - $7,700, DK - $7,700)

Lehner projects to start on Wednesday night against Pittsburgh. This will not be an easy play but the Islanders goalie could face 30+ shots on goal and has a higher chance of a win than most think. Lehner winning five of his last six starts aids in this cause. In those games, he has a .942 save percentage and a goals-against average under two. New York features its top-six in ways that aid production while minimizing the number of scoring chances. Pittsburgh expects to fire the pucks on net with more regularity due to increased good health. Brian Dumoulin, Justin Schultz, and company are returning from injuries.
