BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ team leagues
OWNED IN: 26% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Most avid baseball fans remember Hernandez's 2018 postseason struggles vividly (.122 average, two homers, five walks and 14 K's) in 15 games. Although he played in 145 games during the regular season, he was also a man without a set position, bouncing around at second base, third base and the outfield. Hernandez slashed just .256/.336/.470, but you can't ignore his career-high 21 home runs or the fact that he will always have ample opportunities to drive in runs in the Dodgers stacked lineup.
The 27-year-old Puerto Rican often times has an all-or-nothing approach, but he has the ability to carry a fantasy squad for periods of time if he's playing regularly. He has already earned the majority of playing time at the keystone over Chris Taylor to begin the year, making him much more attractive to fantasy owners if he continues to produce. Hernandez quickly demanded the attention on the waiver wire by going 2-for-3 with two home runs, three RBI, three runs scored and a walk on Opening Day. The positional flexibility he gives fantasy owners is a cherry on top. Kike has a realistic chance to be relevant in mixed leagues for the duration of the season.
