FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (11/8/18): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Jake Finnen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 11/8/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

There are only four games tonight and every day we are seeing progress with each team. The start to every season is difficult because of random rotations, coaching changes and chemistry issues, so by the end of this month, every team will be in a more concrete direction, rather than still trying to figure out what works. Granted, the bad teams will struggle all year with lineups and giving out consistent minutes, but we can work those into our favor through context. Tonight, it's all about name value and production. Don't expect too many cheap options tonight.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 11/8/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Make sure you don't set your lineups too early and also be sure to check player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @HalfCourtJester on Twitter.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Terry Rozier - PG, BOS @ PHO (FD - $4,000)

So there is SOME value spread-out, but even this pick is entirely dependent on the Celtics destroying the Suns. Rozier doesn't have a problem getting minutes or producing, but we do have to be aware of his ceiling. Assuming the Celtics can play their game without hindrance, Rozier should see extended time against a very exposable backcourt. His price is fairly low and should be able to open up some space for higher priced guards like Chris Paul or James Harden, both viable options for tonight.

Lou Williams - SG, LAC vs POR (FD - $6,200)

A low price for a player that seemingly annihilates his nightly projected. With high priced options out there, Louis Williams (Ha, Louis.) provides the ideal option that won't break the bank, but can put your lineup over the top any time you roster him. The Trail Blazers defense has improved in terms of experience and maturity, but this is Lou Williams we are talking about. When he is on, you might as well stop playing defense to wait it out. The Clippers have been playing well behind Tobias Harris and Danilo Gallinari, but Williams is still valuable and will still get his touches.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

T.J. Warren - SF, PHO vs. BOS (FD - $4,500)

There are two options that you can take from the Suns tonight. Either Josh Jackson who is basically all upside and potential for cheap, or T.J. Warren who is a proven scorer that won't be entirely affected by the Celtics defense. That is a bold statement but Warren prefers the mid-range and works in isolation, where the Celtics defense can be "exposed." I put exposed in quotes because even if Warren or Jackson goes off, the Celtics should still win despite whoever on Phoenix plays well.

Montrezl Harrell - PF, LAC vs POR (FD - $5,800)

Boban Marjonovic is another decent play from this game, but his minutes are too inconsistent to trust against a team like Portland. Montrezl Harrel, on the other hand, has been excelling and playing plenty of minutes to justify starting him whenever and wherever. He has limited range but he doesn't have a problem staying around the rim and limiting his weakness. The Trail Blazers might have a high-paced offense, but when it comes to rebounding, Harrel has a clear-cut advantage.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Aron Baynes - C, BOS @ PHO (FD - $3,500)

His ceiling is not the highest, but for his price, it seems incredibly feasible for him to exceed projected. As stated earlier, playing Boban Marjonovic seems like the right play, but taking the chance on Baynes, who is guaranteed minutes, could be the nail in every other DFS players coffin. He should go low-owned and the Suns' defense gives him upside to actually work on his range. We've seen Baynes show off his shooting against good teams, so he should have light work against Phoenix. What will really happen is that Baynes will have the awareness to realize he's playing a bad team, and will only pass the ball to younger players that need the development...I'm still riding with Baynes for the price.
