BALLER MOVE: Add In 14-Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 17% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Miles Bridges has seen his minutes fluctuate early on in the 2018-19 season, but he's certainly a player to keep tabs on. The Hornets rookie was a DNP in the team's third game of the year when they traveled to Miami, but he's seen at least 14 minutes of action in every other game. He will oft be competing for playing time with fellow wingmen Jeremy Lamb, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Nicolas Batum, but Bridges has shown a lot of promise early on in the season. He's seen a combined 56 minutes over the past two games, something which will hopefully continue to trend upwards.
Bridges is currently averaging 9.3 points per game, shooting an excellent 63.9% from the field, including 43.8% from deep. He is only averaging six shots per game, but clearly he's taking smart shots and isn't forcing anything on the offensive end. The 20-year-old is also contributing 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game, while averaging 19.3 minutes of court time. In his best game of the season, Bridges scored 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting, going 3-for-3 on three-point attempts against the Magic.
For a player who has yet to been given a large role on his new team, Bridges is making the most of his inconsistent minutes and his solid performances will certainly force Hornets coach James Borrego to look to him off the bench more frequently. Per 36 minutes, Bridges is posting a line of 17.4/6.2/2.2 with 1.2 steals and 2.2 three's. If he can play his way into a larger role, he would be an excellent pickup in most formats. For now, he should be added in deeper leagues as he has a ton of upside.
