BALLER MOVE: Add In Very Deep Leagues (16-to-20 Teams)
OWNED IN: 8% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Iman Shumpert exploded on Sunday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, posting 26 points, three rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks on 9-for-13 shooting and 4-for-5 from the charity stripe. Shumpert started the game for the Kings as a one-game fill-in for defensive purposes against Paul George, but his eruption could secure another start for the 28-year-old on Tuesday against the Denver Nuggets.
The eventual return of Bogdan Bogdanovic may make Shumpert's upside very minimal, and even as things sit now, the 6-foot-5 wing may end up being nothing more than a one-game story with all the competition for minutes that he faces. The Georgia Tech product has shown during his career that he is capable of giving you a little bit of everything outside of field goal percentage so if he is able to carve out a role, he does provide some waiver wire intrigue.
Shumpert is someone to keep an eye on this week and see how he performs in most leagues. We wouldn't recommend him as an add in anything less than a 16-team league, but he could start trending towards that direction with another solid performance or two.
