DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/12/18): MLB DFS Lineups

Shohei Ohtani Batting

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on September 12th, 2018. Justin Bales' MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

There are a plethora of games today, although DraftKings broke those games down into two slate. Overall, there are 15 games, but this article will only focus on the later slate. On that slate, there are eight games, but still plenty of options to choose from.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/12/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other @BalesSJustin.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Aaron Nola - P, vs WAS ($11,200)

Nola has been nearly untouchable at home this season, where he owns a 9-1 record with a 2.21 ERA through 14 starts. He has also found plenty of success against the Washington Nationals this season. Through four starts against Washington, he has recorded a 3-0 record, while allowing only four earned runs over 28.2 innings. Tonight, he's a -131 favorite in a game set at only 7.5 runs.

David Price - P, vs TOR ($9,700)

Price has struggled at times this season, but he has caught fire over his last 10 starts. Over that span, he owns a 5-0 record with a 2.47 ERA. He also owns a 10.2 K/9 in those games. Furthermore, Price has been a more consistent option in Boston this season. He gets a solid matchup against the Toronto Blue Jays, and Price is a -236 favorite in a game set at 9 runs.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Mitch Moreland - 1B, vs TOR ($4,100)

Moreland has looked outstanding at home this season, where he owns a .280 average with a .500 slugging percentage and an .843 OPS. He has also been a better option against right-handed pitching, recording 0.042 wOBA and 0.088 ISO differentials against righties. He gets a solid matchup against Aaron Sanchez tonight, as well.

Whit Merrifield - 2B, vs CHW ($4,700)

Merrifield has found plenty of success recently, hitting .233 with three extra-base hits (two home runs), six RBIs, and three steals over his last 10 games. He gets a great matchup against Carlos Rodon, who has struggled at times on the road this season. Merrifield is also leading off for the Royals, adding to his upside on this slate.

Hunter Dozier - 3B, vs CHW ($3,500)

Dozier is another Kansas City player that can be considered tonight. He has caught fire recently, hitting .293 with a .610 slugging percentage and a .912 OPS over his last 10 games. He owns 58% hard-hit and 36% fly ball rates with a 95 mph exit velocity over the last 15 days. Dozier is another high upside option tonight.

Trevor Story - SS, vs ARI ($5,700)

It's tough to avoid Story at this point. He's averaging over 10 fantasy points per game at home, while also averaging over 15 fantasy points per game over his last 10 games. Furthermore, Story features 54% hard-hit and 45% fly ball rates with a 99 mph exit velocity over the last 15 days. Story gets a matchup against Patrick Corbin, and he owns 0.069 wOBA and 0.109 ISO differentials against left-handed pitching, as well.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Shohei Ohtani - OF, vs TEX ($5,800)

Ohtani isn't going to come cheap, but he has been one of the best hitters in the MLB over his last 10 games. Over that span, he's hitting .433 with a .967 slugging percentage and a 1.494 OPS. He also owns seven extra-base hits (three home runs), 11 RBIs, and three steals in those games. He gets a great matchup against Yovani Gallardo, as well, and Ohtani owns 0.141 wOBA and 0.19 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching.

Kole Calhoun - OF, vs TEX ($4,000)

Calhoun has been struggling a bit recently, hitting only .200 over his last 10 games. With that being said, he has scored fantasy points in each of those games, as well. Calhoun also features a 56% hard-hit and a 93 mph exit velocity over the last 15 days. He has quietly been a consistent option, and he can be considered in all leagues in this matchup.
