DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (8/10/18): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on August 10th, 2018. Adam Meyer's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a 14-game slate on Friday (WSH/CHC matchup starts at 2:20pm EST and is not included in the main slate on DraftKings). There are seven games with an over/under of at least nine total runs. The matchup between the Dodgers and Rockies, at Coors Field, leads the way with 10.5 total runs projected.

As far as pitching is concerned, only two teams are considered heavy favorites (-200 odds, or greater): Yankees and Astros. Gerrit Cole is the most expensive pitcher on the slate ($12,500), but that’s too rich for our blood. I have another strategy in mind that allows us to build a powerful lineup.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/10/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Shane Bieber, CLE (@ CWS) - $8,300

I’m saving a lot of money on pitching and stacking my offense. The Biebs has struck out at least six batters in four of the last five outings and allowed three earned runs, or less, in three of the last four appearances. The White Sox are 23rd in runs scored (462 runs in 114 games) and second in team strikeouts (1,100) this season.

Jose Urena, MIA (vs. NYM) - $6,700

I’ll admit it, Urena has had a rough recent run of games. He’s allowed at least five earned runs in three of the last four games. That’s not our typical style when looking for pitchers. However, on the bright side, the price is very low for Urena. The Mets are 27th in runs scored (439 runs in 112 games) and 24th in team wOBA (.310) against right-handed pitchers.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

C - Yan Gomes, CLE (@ CWS) - $4,000

Gomes had the day off on Thursday, so expect him to get the nod on Friday. He leads the Indians with a .253 ISO against left-handed pitchers. Gomes has also gathered a hit in seven straight games. He’s batting .429 in the past week.

1B - Mitch Moreland, BOS (@ BAL) - $4,600

Boston is third on the slate with an implied run total of 5.3 runs. Moreland is one of the most affordable Red Sox bats and is a great addition to your DK lineup. He’s third on the team with a .222 ISO against right-handed pitchers. Dylan Bundy is on the hill for the Orioles. He’s allowed at least three earned runs in four of the last five appearances.

2B - Josh Harrison, PIT (@ SF) - $3,700

We typically aim for bats who have at least a .200 ISO since 2017. Harrison isn’t quite there, .191 ISO against southpaws, but I like the matchup against Derek Holland. The Giants pitcher leads the slate with a 4.99 SIERA since 2017. In the past week, Harrison is 5-for-15 (.333) with one double and one home run.

3B - Max Muncy, LAD (@ COL) - $4,700

We need some one from the slate-leading Dodgers (5.4 implied runs). Muncy leads Los Angeles with a .316 ISO against right-handed pitchers. Muncy hit a pinch-hit home run on Thursday. Of his four hits in the past week, three went for extra-bases.

SS - Eduardo Escobar, ARI (@ CIN) - $4,400

Since joining the Diamondbacks, Escobar has tallied 13 hits in 10 games (five doubles). He’s recorded a hit in seven straight games and a .333 AVG (9-for-27) in the past week. He’ll face Anthony DeSclafani on Friday. He’s allowed at least three earned runs in three of the last four outings. This season, DeSclafani is 2-2 with a 5.65 ERA at home.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Giancarlo Stanton, NYY (vs. TEX) - $5,100

This is the lock of the night. Stanton has homered in three consecutive games and leads the Yankees with a .401 ISO against left-handed pitchers. He’s 9-for-29 (.310) with two doubles and three homers in the past seven days. Also, Stanton is 7-for-21 (.333) with five extra-base hits (four home runs) against Mike Minor.

Eddie Rosario, MIN (@ DET) - $4,400

Speaking of solid BvP (batter vs. pitcher) numbers, Rosario is 4-for-13 (.308) with three extra-base hits (one home run) against Jordan Zimmermann. Rosario has tallied six hits in the past three games (two doubles). He’s batting .333, with two doubles and one home run in the past week.

Kevin Kiermaier, TB (@ TOR) - $3,700

He’s only 2-for-24 (.083) in the past week, but Kiermaier is 8-for-23 (.348) with three extra-base hits (one home run) against Marco Estrada in his career. Estrada has allowed at least three earned runs in two fo the last four performances, too.
