World Cup DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings: Matchday 8

With three games in Group C and D, Monday's showdowns are Australia vs Denmark, Peru vs France, and Croatia vs Argentina. Due to the multiple games being played, lineups are back to their normal constructions. Below we bring you seven players you should consider as World Cup DFS lineup picks for Matchday 8 (on June 21st, 2018).

Not all are top-tier options, as there is a range of DFS value picks, sleepers and high-risk players mixed in.

Consider all of these players for your DFS lineups; however, at the end of the day, it is always your decision. Good luck, RotoBallers.

WC DFS Forwards to Consider

Yussuf Poulsen - F, Denmark (DK - $7,000, FD - $8,000)

Denmark are the favorites in their matchup against Australia, making their best forward a good option in your DFS lineups. Poulsen is a pacey forward playing for RB Leipzig in Germany who scored a crucial goal in the team's victory over Peru last week. Poulsen is a must own option at his price point due to the value and upside that he possesses and his ability to link up with star Danish player Christian Eriksen against a suspect Australia defense.

Mario Mandzukic - F, Croatia (DK - $6,000, FD - $9,000)

Although Croatia are not favored in tomorrow's match against Argentina, Mario Mandzukic could end up punishing a massively overrated Argentine backline that was exposed by Iceland in Week One. Mandzukic is Croatia's key attacking threat and therefore possesses the most upside of their Starting XI. Additionally, his price on DraftKings makes him more than a worthy play as it represents his absolute floor and the baseline for what he can provide for Croatia tomorrow.

WC DFS Midfielders to Consider

Christian Eriksen - M, Denmark (DK - $10,800, FD - $10,000)

The key player for Denmark will be the most talented player on the pitch in tomorrow's clash against Australia. Eriksen is Denmark's talisman and has shown as much in the matches leading up to the tournament and their game against Peru as well. Now facing an underwhelming Australia side, Eriksen has a chance to capitalize that makes investing in him in tomorrow's slate a worthy proposition despite his high-end cost.

Maximiliano Meza - M, Argentina (DK - $4,900, FD - $6,000)

The Argentina-based midfielder often gets overlooked in the team's lineup, as the presence of Angel Di Maria, Sergio Aguero, and Lionel Messi are the main focus of fantasy owners and pundits alike. However, the wide midfielder has been playing quite well for his national side lately and should have the chances to provide assists or goals in a must-win game for Argentina that they should do well in and win convincingly.

WC DFS Defenders to Consider

Benjamin Pavard - D, France (DK - $4,900, FD - $4,500)

France barely scraped by against Australia last week, with the entire backline playing quite poorly. However, the best player out of that defensive unit was Benjamin Pavard, the young French fullback who is a good bet to start once again against Peru. Pavard is known to be an attacking fullback, making him a good investment for fantasy owners due to his crossing ability and the strength of France's defense as a whole.

Luis Advincula - D, Peru (DK - $4,000, FD - $6,000)

A contrarian play in tomorrow's lineups, Peru fullback Luis Advincula is a locked-in starter with a very reasonable price on DraftKings tomorrow. Even though Peru are not the favorites against France, if they are able to pull of an upset and perform well, you will be rewarded by the low ownership levels of Peruvian players. Therefore, Advincula is a good Tournament option with the upside to provide in his team's attacking buildup.

WC DFS Goalies to Consider

Kasper Schmeichel - G, Denmark (DK - $5,400, FD - 5,500)

Continuing the theme of sticking with Denmark as the clear favorites against Australia, goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is a solid option to consider. Schmeichel kept a clean sheet in last week's game against Peru and now has a chance to do the same tomorrow. With a solid defense and good price, Schmeichel becomes a cost-effective but high-performance option who can be a slate-winner if he is forced to make several saves against a mediocre Australian attacking group. Therefore, he is a good GPP and Tournament option in tomorrow's slate against Australia.

Good luck this weekend!
