FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (2/3/18): Daily Fantasy Hockey Advice

Tom Vecchio's top NHL DFS lineup picks on FanDuel, DraftKings for 2/3/18. Expert daily fantasy hockey advice, sleepers & player recommendations.

We have a MASSIVE 11 game slate tonight, and there are good options on the board. Stacking will be big tonight, so look for some value where you can, and then load up on the star skaters where you can afford them.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/3/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Artemi Panarin - W, CLS @ NYI (DK - $6,400, FD - $7,100)

Panarin seems a bit too cheap on DraftKings tonight, so you want to target him over there, since he is in a good spot. He is up against the Islanders who are giving up over three goals per game, so perfect spot to target them. Panarin is on the first forward line and the first power-play unit, so plenty of ice time against a team who is struggling on defense. He is taking just under three shots per game, and has three points in his last three games. Pretty straight forward play tonight, good for any format.

Brayden Point - C, TB @ VAN (DK - $6,200, FD - $6,200)

Point is on the second forward line and the first power-play unit for the Lightning, who are in a great spot tonight. They are up against the Canucks, who are very bad defensively, and giving up over three goals per game. Love Point in a stack tonight, since their multi-goal upside is huge. It will be an expensive stack, so you will have to find some savings elsewhere to fit them all in. He has 46 points through 51 games this season, and is taking a bit over two shots per game, and can chip in with a blocked shot every now and then.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Roman Josi - NSH vs NYR (DK - $6,200, FD - $6,000)

Josi is up against the Rangers who are struggling right now, and simply taking too many penalties. This is favorable for Josi, since he is on the first power-play unit, meaning he could see plenty of extra ice time. Josi is also on the first defensive pairing, and playing over 20 minutes per game. He is taking over three shots per game, and blocking over one shot per game, meaning he can really fill up the stat sheet, and provide value in multiple ways.

Will Butcher - D, NJ vs PIT (DK - $3,500, FD - $3,800)

Butcher is on the third defensive pairing, but the first power-play unit, so he has some up against the Penguins, who are giving up about three goals per game. He is cheap, and you can use him in a full stack, which will offer a bit of flexibility when it comes to roster construction. He is up against the Penguins, who are on the second night of a back to back, so potential for slow legs and extra time on the power-play. He is taking over one shot per game, and about one blocked shot per game.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Jonathan Quick, G, LA vs ARI (DK - $8,300, FD - $8,400)

Quick was on and off IR this week, but is officially back and ready to go. He hasn't been playing that well recently, so he makes a GPP option only for me tonight. He is up against the Coyotes, who are one of the worst teams in the league, so he should be able to come away with the win. He has 20 wins in 40 starts this season, and is allowing under 2.5 goals per game. He carries a bit of risk, but has a very favorable matchup against a bad team.
