Daily Fantasy NBA Lineup Picks for FanDuel (1/9/17) - DFS Basketball Advice

There is a very small slate for Monday, January 9th, meaning that you need to have the right player that will go for a 60+ FPTS explosion. We have two options, Anthony Davis against the Knicks, hard to pass up, and Russell Westbrook against the Bulls. The Thunder will more than likely be riding on the back of Westbrook and no one, other than himself, has been able to keep him from getting a triple-double. As highly as I think of Jimmy Butler's defense, Westbrook has yet to be stopped. Westbrook should go for a cool 70 FPTS while Anthony Davis should drop 30 on the Knicks with a 60 FPTS performance.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/9/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on FanDuel. Let's get rolling.

Editor's Note: New users that sign up on FantasyAces, make a $20 deposit, and enter any game will receive BOTH our full season NBA and NFL Premium Passes for free, a $119.99 value. FanDuel DFS Guards

Langston Galloway - PG, at NYK ($3,700)

This is one of the better value options of the night. Langston Galloway is in a revenge game against his former team and after last game, he failed to convert open shots that he usually makes. Seeing that he is still getting minutes and he will be playing in Madison Square Garden, expect Galloway to show out in a game I can only imagine he has had marked on his calendar since their last meeting. The Pelicans will still likely lose, but Galloway is a shooter who will be able to get shots off against New York.

Zach Lavine - SG, vs DAL($6,400)

Dallas is solid defensively, but their guards allow plenty of shots. Zach Lavine has one of the higher release points in the league and he will be pulling up for shots all game. It is likely Ricky Rubio and Deron Williams will be duking it out all game, leaving Zach Lavine for a high usage outing. His athleticism gives him an advantage and should be a focal point for the Timberwolves. Lavine has an engine that never stops and that makes him a valuable player and fantasy option all the same.

Also Consider: Wesley Matthews - SG, at MIN ($5,200)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Nikola Mirotic - SF, vs OKC ($4,500)

As long as Nikola Mirotic is below $5,000, he will be a great play on FanDuel. He has been getting plenty of minutes, shoots the ball late in the game, meaning his teammates trust him to shoot. This is great for fantasy because Mitotic is a pure shooter and his teammates want him to score, making him a high volume scorer for a very low price. Behind Jimmy Butler, Nikola Mirotic and Doug McDermott are the next best outside shooters on the Bulls. Against the Thunder, a fast-paced team that likes to shoot, Mirotic will be needed for support to help Chicago come out with a tough win.

Harrison Barnes - PF, at MIN ($6,700)

The Mavericks are going to need some serious scoring to keep up with the Timberwolves, meaning it will come down to Harrison Barnes making a high percentage of his shots, and Deron Williams being able to play his game and keep Minnesota on their heels. The Mavericks revolve around these two players and expect this game to be no different. Barnes in on track for a night with a high volume of shots and usage.

Also Consider:  Gorgui Dieng - SF, vs DAL ($5,500)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns - C, vs DAL ($9,200)

The Mavericks and Timberwolves are polar opposites and when they face off, expect the Timberwolves' youth and athleticism to lead to fast break opportunities that Karl-Anthony Towns will benefit from. The Minnesota starters usually have high usage each night and although Dallas has a tough defense, Towns is a hybrid center than should have no problem with the rim protecting centers in Dallas.

Also Consider: Joakim Noah - C, vs NOP ($4,900)
