Fantasy College Basketball CBB Rankings: NCAA Top 10 (11/21/16)

Dillon+Brooks+Progressive+Legends+Classic+bZ9Xgws-rd-l

If you played street ball as a kid, you know the expression, "No blood, no foul."

Well, some of our preseason Top 10 teams already have blemishes to their records, but none of the critical variety--so no blood. And, thus, no foul. I mean, does Kansas losing to Indiana or Duke losing to Kansas mean either team is bad?

Hardly.

So, with some changes in positioning from opening week, here are our preseason CBB rankings (won-loss records in parentheses) for Week 2 of the season.

NCAA College Basketball (CBB) Rankings

1. Kentucky, (4-0)

We weren't sure about the Wildcats until they thumped Michigan State last week. Now we know John Calipari's team, and freshman Malik Monk (16 PPG) are for real.

2. North Carolina, (4-0)

Senior forward Kennedy Meeks (6-10, 260) is a monster, and a double-double machine, averaging 12.8 PPG and 10 RPG on the young season. The Tar Heels have played a weak schedule so far, but have a showdown with Indiana next week.

3. Indiana, (3-0)

We like the Hoosiers, and what's not to like? Four starters averaging in double figures in scoring and a nice win over Kansas to start the season. The aforementioned tilt against UNC will show whether or not they belong at the top of the rankings.

4. Villanova, (5-0)

Senior guard Josh Hart seems to have taken his game up another level, averaging around 20 PPG. If that holds, look out... And get ready to see him in the NBA next season.

5. Kansas, (2-1)

The Jayhawks' loss to Indiana to start the season surprised some people. Then they came back and beat Duke. They aren't going anywhere until March, as long as guard Frank Mason III (23.7 PPG) stays healthy.

6. Duke, (4-1)

The loss to KU hurts the Dukies a little, but not too much. The emergence of sophomore guard Luke Kennard (18 PPG) is interesting; if he continues to play well, expect the Cameron Crazies to stay happy.

7. Oregon, (2-1)

Good news for Oregon: Junior forward Dillon Brooks is practicing at full strength. That's bad news for the rest of the nation. The Ducks lost to Baylor without Brooks. They'll likely start winning as soon as he's 100 percent.

8. Virginia, (3-0)

A win over Yale, which beat Washington in Seattle earlier this season, is no small achievement. But who will be the Cavaliers' go-to guy? A stud has yet to emerge, which may be just fine.

9. Louisville, (3-0)

Rick Pitino's team has yet to be tested, but junior forward Jaylen Johnson looks to be aces. Stolen out from under Tom Izzo at Sparty (Johnson is from Ypsilanti), the big fella is averaging 15.3 PPG and 11.3 RPG so far this season.

10. Arizona, 3-0

We'll see what that season-opening win over Izzo and Michigan State means as the season goes on. Keep an eye on freshman guard Kobi Simmons (15.3 PPG).
