BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Leagues
OWNED IN: 10% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Pittsburgh Pirates decided to pay journeyman John Jaso a two-year, eight million dollar deal to help stabilize their 1B and OF needs. This may not seem like a big deal except for the fact that Jaso had never played more than 109 games in any one season and had not broken out in any one season to stand out as a "payday" season. Clearly the Pirates found something that was overlooked and now you should take advantage of what Jaso brings to your fantasy lineup.
Jaso quietly brings solid numbers in deeper formats for OBP while having a BB/K rate of .71. Jaso has also contributed 20 RBI while sporting a .296 BA and an OPS of .788. He is not going to be a guy that helps pick up the slack offensively week in and week out but he can balance out a lineup with volatile sluggers. He is the constant producer who often gets unnoticed. The 1B/OF dual eligibility offers fantasy owners important flexibility.
Leagues with 14+ teams should have already scooped him up and gauging by the 10% ownership rate Jaso is still going unowned. Do yourself a favor and sneak in some cheap value with Jaso and watch you win totals go up.
