BALLER MOVE: Target at end of drafts
CURRENT ADP: 314
ANALYSIS: Jerad Eickhoff is not a name many have heard yet, and playing for a cellar-dwelling outfit does not help, but the 25-year-old righthander may make a name for himself in 2016. Eickhoff made eight starts for the Phillies in 2015, racking up 49 strikeouts against just 13 walks in 51 innings. Eickhoff broke his right thumb on the first day of camp this year and did not make his first start of the spring until March 22. In a small sample size of 203 batters-faced in 2015, Eickhoff held hitters to a .212 average and a .621 OPS while recording 8.65K/9. He fared better against right-handed hitters, as they had just a .168 average and a .458 OPS, as opposed to lefties who hit .268 with an .830 OPS.
Eickhoff will definitely make for an intriguing streaming option once he gets some more innings under his belt. You'll want to pick your spots with the youngster, as his value will be somewhat matchup-dependent. The wins could be tough to come by as well, and he could be on an innings count later in the season. The Phillies are an improving team and Eickhoff looks to be a part of the solution. He is being largely ignored on draft boards but is worth a flier if you have a roster spot open.
