Fantasy College Basketball CBB Rankings: NCAA Top 10 (2/17/16)

Brian Dunleavy's top 10 NCAA college basketball (CBB) rankings, from a fantasy basketball perspective, as of 2/17/16. His fantasy CBB rankings are updated weekly.

I know. We just celebrated Valentine's Day, the ultimate of Hallmark holidays.

While I'm hardly an expert in matters of the heart, I would like to think that I know what I'm talking about when it comes to college hoops. And the fact is, I fell out of love with a few teams this week.

So which teams have us head over heels, and which shouldn't wait for chocolates and flowers? Below are our CBB rankings for the week of February 17, 2016 (won-loss records are as of the time of this writing).

NCAA College Basketball (CBB) Rankings

1. Kansas, 21-4

As regular readers know, we LOVE the Big 12, and not just on February 14. So we have to reward Bill Self's team for three conference wins this week, including a road victory over our old flames Oklahoma.

2. Villanova, 22-3

Frankly, we don't love the Big East and its brutal, often slow-paced brand of basketball. But we do have a place in our hearts for the Wildcats' Mr. Everything Josh Hart (15.4 PPG).

3. Oklahoma, 20-4

It's not you, Oklahoma. It's us. But even so we can't hold it against you too much that you lost to a great team like Kansas, even at home. And what's not to love about star Sooner Buddy Hield (25.6 PPG)?

4. North Carolina, 21-4

Oh Tar Heels, you still make us happy. We love teams with balanced scoring (five players averaging in double figures), and Brice Johnson is a double-double machine.

5. Virginia, 20-5

The Cavaliers aren't sexy (not that we're Brad Pitt), but they keep winning in the always-tough ACC, nail-biting loss at Duke this week aside. Malcolm Brogdon is hot for the 'Hoovs (17.8 PPG).

6. Iowa, 20-5

The Hawkeyes bounced back from a bit of heartbreak at Indiana this week and thus earn a little bit of love from us. Jarrod Uthoff is still the apple of our eye, but Peter Jok (15.8 PPG) ain't too shabby either.

7. Iowa State, 18-7

It will take more than a close loss at Texas Tech for the Cyclones' bloom to fall off our rose.

8. Arizona, 21-5

We've been falling in and out of love with the Wildcats all season. They have clawed their way back into our hearts with a strong week in the Pac-12. We love double-double beast Ryan Anderson (15.3 PPG, 10.9 RPG).

9. Miami, 20-4

Oh, U. How could we have missed you there, with the oh-so-sweet shooting of Sheldon McClellan (16.3 PPG, 51.9 FG%)? But let's just say we luv u 4 now--and wait and see, shall we?

10. Kentucky, 19-6

The NBA scouts have always loved the Wildcats roster, and NBA team executives are drooling over the head coach. But will we still love them come March? Only time--and how well they fare in the SEC--will tell.
