ANALYSIS: Former New York Knick Toney Douglas is being asked to step up for the Pelicans with Tyreke Evans ailing and Eric Gordon sidelined for a few weeks, and so far so good. On Monday Douglas scored 18 points while dishing six assists and grabbing three rebounds. This is off the heels of a 14 point, four assist and three steal performance too so right now he has a nice rhythm going on. For some added value, Douglas also has seven shots from downtown over the last two games.

Eric Gordon is still out for a while and Douglas could might be able to force his way into the rotation -- possibly at the expensive of Norris Cole -- if he continues to play well. He's worth adding in deeper leagues because he can contribute across the board.
