Indianapolis Colts WR Andre Johnson will take the field Thursday night for his first game against his former team, the Houston Texans. Johnson joined the Colts in the offseason as the Texans all-time leader in receiving yards (13,597), catches (1,012) and touchdowns (64).
Johnson has struggled with his new team, totaling only seven receptions for 51 yards and no touchdowns through four games. When asked about his early struggles, Johnson said, "Any time you've gone to work for 12 seasons and make a change, it's challenging...but at the same time, it's an experience and I'm just rolling with it. I don't have any regrets on anything, any decisions I've made, and I'm just trying to make the best of my opportunities."
Despite Johnson's early struggles, don't give up on him yet in fantasy. The Colts offense in general has struggled, but they play in a favorable division and have a fairly easy schedule outside of New England and Denver. As far as tonight's game goes, limit your expectations for Johnson with Matt Hasselbeck as his starting QB. Johnson and the Colts would love nothing more than to see him score his first touchdown against his former team, but Hasselbeck can't be trusted.
