It was announced on Sunday that, for the first time since tearing his groin on Aug. 3 during practice, Houston Texans running back Arian Foster will actually get to see playing time, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Foster told reporters on Friday that he was “a full participant in practice” despite being listed as limited.
Foster can be deemed as somewhat fragile in a few cases, which leaves fantasy owners scratching their heads and wondering if the risk to start him is worth it. Remember, he missed three games altogether last season due to injuries and eight games in 2013 with a back injury.
Most fantasy owners drafted Foster during the late rounds (which was a smart pick up) regardless of the giant question mark embedded on him and had kept them in the back of their minds at the start of the season.
With this report that he’s officially suiting up, fantasy owners should jump at the chance to start him as he takes on the Atlanta Falcons, but keep in mind that he will most likely not handle a full workload.
