Have you already given up on Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson? Most people have. But the former first round draft pick will get another chance to prove himself now that Jarius Wright has been ruled out 1-2 weeks with a hand injury.
Vikings starting receiver Charles Johnson is also batting a rib injury which should benefit Patterson even more.
None of this means you should do something foolish like put Patterson in your starting lineup, but he is worth a waiver wire pickup - especially in keeper and dynasty leagues. Patterson's talent is unquestioned, he just hasn't been able to produce in the NFL yet. Maybe he'll finally start showing signs of greatness on Sunday when the Vikings face the Denver Broncos.
There's a good chance the Vikings will be playing from behind in Denver, which means Teddy Bridgewater will be asked to throw the football quite a lot. That should give Patterson plenty of opportunities.
