With Dion Lewis having a spectacular start to the season, Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots have decided they could afford to cut ties with Travaris Cadet.
It will be very interesting to see where Cadet lands. If he lands in the right spot, he may be worth a roster spot, eventually PPR leagues. When Cadet was with Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints, he was consistently used in the passing game. If he lands with a team that could use a receiving back (Colts, Raiders, Broncos) he would be worth a waiver wire pickup.
As for the Patriots, they'll be just fine without Cadet. Lewis was a great replacement for Shane Vereen and LeGarrette Blount is still around to take goal-line and short-yardage carries. In addition, the team still has Brandon Bolden who is capable of filling in when needed and James White showed a lot of promise coming out of Wisconsin.
