Jordan Reed (TE, WAS) - Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues (if still available)

Owned in 60% of Fleaflicker leagues

ANALYSIS: If you could name one high-potential fantasy football tight end who has frustrated you with injuries the past couple years, I imagine Jordan Reed would be on the top of the list. In the past two seasons he's had the following injuries: concussion, tip, thigh, & hamstring. Sadly these injuries have limited his playing time and ultimately tarnishing his abilities. When Reed has been healthy he's been serviceable (9 games last year) as he averaged 5 catches, 55 yards, 0.3 TD per game. The latest news on Reed is that he is practicing and if he is healthy he'll become the TE1 at Washington replacing waiver wire gold-mine-pickup Niles Paul. In case you didn't notice, Paul got a ton of looks (28 targets, 21 catches, 313 yards and 1 TD) which averaged 7 targets, 5 catches, 78 yards per game. If Reed is truly healthy, he'll see at least the same amount of workload going forward, and remains one of our post-hype sleepers. If you are in a league where someone dropped Reed I'd recommend picking him up off the Week 5 waiver wire, especially if you are in need of a tight end. He may not play in Week 5, in which case Niles Paul would remain a viable start if he plays, but Reed should be back soon.
