Kotkaniemi would open the scoring in the second frame with a snap shot. Later in the third, Kotkaniemi would score the game-winner on a deflection. He logged three total shots on goal and one hit during this contest. The 24-year-old has now tallied four points (three goals, one helper) over his previous four games. Prior to this stretch, he was riding a six-game scoreless drought. While Kotkaniemi typically plays on the second line, he has struggled to produce consistently throughout the season.
