Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen (knee) was activated from Injured Reserve Friday. He is expected to be the backup goalie for Friday's matchup against Vegas. Andersen has not played since late October, missing time due to a knee injury. He registered a 3-1-0 record at the start of the campaign, allowing 1.49 goals with a .941 save percentage. We should see Andersen back in the Hurricanes crease early next week as the team begins a back-to-back set on Monday against Chicago. Dustin Tokarski has been reassigned to the minors with Andersen's return.--Taavi Pailk
