Edmonton Oilers left wing Evander Kane (abdomen) had knee surgery on Thursday, which requires 4-8 weeks of recovery. The power forward has yet to suit up for the 2024-25 season after undergoing abdominal surgery on Sept. 20 to repair both abductors, two hernias, and two abdominal tears. He was expected to miss 5-6 months because of that procedure, so Kane is also still recovering from the first surgery. It looks like he might end up playing only a handful of regular-season contests for the Oilers in 2024-25. However, Kane's addition will be huge for the team in the postseason, especially if he's back at 100 percent.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
