Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko (back) is expected to be the starter for Friday's matchup against Carolina. A back problem has limited Demko to only one appearance since the turn of the year, but he returned to the lineup on Wednesday against Washington to back up Kevin Lankinen. Vancouver begins a back-to-back on Friday, so we should see both goalies in action to close out the week. Demko will look to improve a 2-3-1 record on Friday. He enters the contest with a 3.34 goals-against average and a .881 save percentage. However, this is a very tough matchup for Demko and the Canucks, as Carolina owns the fourth-best record in the league and has gone 16-5-0 on home ice.--Taavi Pailk
