MLB DFS: DraftKings Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/7/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Wyatt Langford - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Prospects

MLB DFS play for DraftKings (9/7/24). Use Dawn's Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks to help build lineups in order to win big playing on DraftKings tonight.

Good morning, all! We have an eight-game slate featuring a Dodgers stack facing a right-handed pitcher in Gavin Williams and a Brewers team facing lefty Ty Blach, who has a 5.18 xFIP. The Brewers are one of my favorite stacks tonight.

Who else will we be looking at? Minnesota, Texas, and Boston. The Red Sox are facing a tough pitcher in Garrett Crochet, but Boston has had 105 wRC+ over the last 30 days, trending up from 79 for the season. Sneaky stack alert? Possibly!

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/7/2024 and the slate locking at 7:05 p.m. EDT on DraftKings. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential.

DraftKings Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Spencer Schwellenbach (ATL/RHP) vs Toronto Blue Jays ($10.3K DK)

Toronto has a 102 wRC+ for the season and 117 for the past 30 days. Usually, I would avoid whatever pitcher they are facing, but Schwellenbach has a 3.69 ERA, 3.21 xFIP, 10.10 K/9, and 1.85 BB/9. Those are a lot of numbers but they all translate to being a bit tougher for the Blue Jays than most might think.

This season, Toronto is slightly better against right-handed pitchers than they are lefties: 105 wRC+ vs RHP versus 90 against lefties. The Blue Jays have a respectable strikeout percentage of 20.3, but Schwellenbach's 27.6% K rate should frustrate even the best Blue Jays hitters.

Garrett Crochet (CHW/LHP) vs. Boston Red Sox ($7.9K DK)

In the last month, the Red Sox's wRC+ has increased to 105 from 70, which is quite an improvement. But, versus right-handed pitchers, they have a 28.2% strikeout rate and are slashing just .244/.317/.400.

Priced on the low side at $7.9K on DraftKings, Crochet has a 3.61 ERA and a 2.47 xFIP. He's throwing 12.8 K/9 and has a 34.9% strikeout rate. You read that right: 34.9%. His pitch count is on the lower end, at 57, but for $7.9K, you can get your Ks and sneak in some of the bigger bats on the slate.

Also Consider: Logan Gilbert (SEA/RHP), Dylan Cease (SDP/RHP)

DraftKings Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Shohei Ohtani- 1B/OF, LAD vs. Gavin Williams ($7.0K DK)

$7,000 for Ohtani is VERY rich for most people's DFS blood, but with Williams throwing 3.49 balls per nine innings, the odds of Ohtani getting his bases, runs, and, most likely, home runs are very high.

Versus right-handed pitchers, Ohtani is slashing a whopping .307/.403/.699 with 35 home runs and 73 RBI. In 15 plate appearances last week versus righties, Ohtani went 5-13 with three home runs and four RBI. If you can afford him, don't overthink it.

Willy Adames - SS, MIL vs. Ty Blach ($4.8K DK)

Milwaukee has a great matchup against left-hander Ty Blach. With an ERA of over seven and a 5.18 xFIP, I expect the home runs to fly. Adames and the Brewers aren't great against lefties, but I suspect this to be a short outing for Blach.

If the right-handers follow in the bullpen, Adames will have an edge. He is slashing .271/.339/.514 for the season against RHPs, with 26 home runs and 85 RBI. The Brewers are expected to score over five runs, making it one of the higher-scoring projected games on the slate.

Trevor Larnach - 3B, MIN vs. Alec Marsh($3.2K DK)

Minnesota has a better-than-good matchup against Alex Marsh. The right-hander has good numbers, but Larnach is slashing .253/.328/.460 for the season with 15 home runs and 47 RBI. And with batters in scoring position? How about .333/.381/.573? Just slightly above his numbers when runners are on base.

The Twins are expected to score more than four runs in Kansas City tonight. Since they are playing at Kauffman Stadium, which is the fourth-highest-ranked stadium for hitters this season, I believe their run total could exceed four. Look for Larnach to play a key role in helping them get there.

Also Consider: Royce Lewis (MIL - 3B), Freddie Freeman (LAD - 1B), Manny Machado (SD - 3B)

DraftKings Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Blake Perkins, OF - MIL vs. Ty Blach ($2.8K DK)

Yes, I'm adding another Brewer to this list. Milwaukee is a favorite stack tonight, even against a lefty, and Perkins is a switch-hitter slashing .292/.358/.387 with 17 RBI. Blach is not expected to last long, and having a switch-hitter in the lineup should keep him from being replaced later in the game.

Wyatt Langford OF - TEX vs. Tyler Anderson ($4.1 K DK)

I haven't talked much yet about the Rangers, and while their wRC+ is a bit below 100, it's still in the 90s, and they are facing Tyler Anderson. The left-handed veteran has a 3.55 ERA but an xFIP of 4.86 and 3.60 BB/9.

Against lefties, Langford is slashing .244/.370/.476 with four homers and 18 RBI. He also has 12 stolen bases this season, although just one against lefties. Let's see if Langford can swipe bag number two tonight in Arlington.

Also Consider: Tyler O'Neill (BOS - OF), Matt Walner (MIN - OF), Fernando Tatis, Jr. (SD - OF)

DraftKings MLB DFS Stack

1. Milwaukee Brewers vs. Ty Blach (COL/LHP)

Favorite Plays: Willy Adamses, William Contreras, Gary Sanchez, Jackson Chourio

2. Los Angeles Dodgers at Gavin Williams (CLE/RHP)

Favorite Plays: Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Max Muncy

Also Consider: Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers
