UFL Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 5: QB, RB, WR, TE Rankings and Analysis (2024)

UFL RANKINGS, FANTASY FOOTBALL,

Week 5 UFL fantasy football rankings at QB, RB, WR, TE for 2024. The top fantasy UFL players at each position (QB, RB, WR, TE) for UFL drafts and DFS UFL lineups.

Entering Week 5 of the UFL season, just one team remains unblemished. Birmingham will be on the road against the 1-3 Houston Roughnecks on Saturday night. San Antonio travels within the state to take on the imperfect Arlington Renegades at the same time.

The game of the week is on Sunday as St. Louis plays DC at noon. The Defenders need a win to stay above .500, while the Battlehawks are fighting to show that they belong in the conversation as the top team in the league. The week will conclude with a matchup between Michigan and Memphis, two teams that could be missing their starting quarterbacks.

RotoBaller's UFL experts have you covered for Week 5 of UFL action.

Quarterback UFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Rankings and analysis by Brant Henson

A slew of quarterback injuries ravaged Week 4, as Memphis' Case Cookus and Michigan's E.J. Perry both left and did not return to their respective games. Birmingham also continued to ride the quarterback carousel, opting for Matt Corral's services this week en route to an 18.7-point fantasy outing and a fourth straight win.

Rank Player Name Team
1 A.J. McCarron St. Louis Battlehawks
2 Quinten Dormady San Antonio Brahmas
3 Jordan Ta'amu DC Defenders
4 E.J. Perry/Danny Etling Michigan Panthers
5 Luis Perez Arlington Renegades
6 Reid Sinnett Houston Roughnecks
7 Case Cookus/Troy Williams Memphis Showboats
8 Adrian Martinez Birmingham Stallions
9 Matt Corral Birmingham Stallions

With the return of Jahcour Pearson, A.J. McCarron bounced back in Week 4 for a stellar performance (222 passing yards, three passing touchdowns) and should keep it rolling in Week 5 against the league's worst passing defense in DC.

San Antonio had no problem letting backup quarterback Quentin Dormady air it out in his first start of the season. Dormady is a safe start this week against the league's basement dwellers in Arlington.

E.J. Perry and Case Cookus should both be monitored leading up to Sunday's matchup. Perry is an intriguing option if healthy against Memphis' porous pass defense. If he can't go, backup quarterback Danny Etling can be thrown into lineups.

Nobody ever knows who will take most of the snaps in Birmingham, and it has worked for them thus far. If the starter is revealed before game time, feel confident inserting them into your lineup.

Running Back UFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Rankings and analysis by Andrew Lennox

A few running backs turned in strong performances in Week 4, yet Jacob Saylor of the Battlehawks now claims the top spot in this week's rankings following another impressive outing.

Rank Player Name Team
1 Jacob Saylors St. Louis Battlehawks
2 C.J. Marable Birmingham Stallions
3 Ricky Person Jr. Birmingham Stallions
4 T.J. Pledger IV Houston Roughnecks
5 Darius Victor Memphis Showboats
6 Mark Thompson Houston Roughnecks
7 Leddie Brown Arlington Renegades
8 De'Veon Smith Arlington Renegades
9 Wes Hills Michigan Panthers
10 John Lovett San Antonio Brahmas
11 Cam'Ron Harris D.C. Defenders
12 Matthew Colburn II Michigan Panthers
13 Zaquandre White D.C. Defenders
14 Wayne Gallman II St. Louis Battlehawks
15 Mataeo Durant St. Louis Battlehawks

Jacob Saylors proved that he could be a game-changing back two weeks in a row as he was a top performer in a 32-17 St. Louis victory over Memphis. Saylors dismantled the Showboat's defense on the ground, rushing for 103 yards on 15 touches. He's averaging an amazing 6.9 yards per carry and he also hauled in three passes for 19 yards in the game. The Battlehawks rusher should be the main back going into Week 5, with Wayne Gallman II and Mataeo Durant not being a huge part of the team's ground game the last two weeks.

The Showboat's ground game will continue to revolve around Darius Victor for the remainder of the season. He recorded 58 rushing yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, making significant contributions to the team's offense versus St. Louis.

Houston's Mark Thompson made his UFL debut in Week 4. The USFL leading rusher last season only accumulated 39 total yards. However, Thompson scored a touchdown and provided a boost to the team's ground attack. He received limited snaps after being sidelined due to a knee injury, but fantasy managers should anticipate him being a huge part of the Roughnecks offense moving forward.

Birmingham Stallions tailback C.J. Marable struggled in Week 4. If he doesn't bounce back quickly, we could see Ricky Person Jr. take on a larger with him rushing 11 times for 57 yards against the Defenders. He also caught both of his targets for 22 yards.

Wide Receiver UFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Rankings and analysis by Brant Henson

Jahcour Pearson's UFL debut was the headline of the receiver landscape in Week 4. His explosive 10 catch showing muddies up the pecking order in St. Louis even further than before, but it appears that he will be the go-to receiver moving forward.

Rank Player Name Team
1 Jontre Kirklin San Antonio Brahmas
2 Jahcour Pearson St. Louis Battlehawks
3 Marcus Simms Michigan Panthers
4 Hakeem Butler St. Louis Battlehawks
5 Marquez Stevenson San Antonio Brahmas
6 Deon Cain Birmingham Stallions
7 Kelvin Harmon DC Defenders
8 Marcell Ateman St. Louis Battlehawks
9 Justin Smith San Antonio Brahmas
10 Daewood Davis Memphis Showboats
11 Trey Quinn Michigan Panthers
12 Jonathan Adams Memphis Showboats
13 Vinny Papale Memphis Showboats
14 Tyler Vaughns Arlington Renegades
15 Darrius Shepherd St. Louis Battlehawks
16 Justin Hall Houston Roughnecks
17 Deontay Burnett Arlington Renegades
18 Chris Rowland DC Defenders
19 Cyril Grayson Houston Roughnecks
20 Amari Rodgers Birmingham Stallions
21 Isaiah Winstead Arlington Renegades
22 Keke Chism Houston Roughnecks
23 JaVonta Payton Arlington Renegades
24 Vyncint Smith DC Defenders
25 Emmanuel Butler Houston Roughnecks
26 Keke Coutee DC Defenders
27 Binjimen Victor Birmingham Stallions
28 Ty Scott DC Defenders
29 Kevin Austin Jr. Birmingham Stallions
30 Devin Gray Michigan Panthers
31 Anthony Ratliff-Williams Houston Roughnecks
32 Siaosi Mariner Michigan Panthers
33 K.D. Cannon San Antonio Brahmas

With Pearson back in the fold for the Battlehawks, Darrius Shepherd is the most likely receiver to take a hit. Pearson does most of his damage out of the slot like Shepherd, who saw just four targets last week. He checks in as our WR15 this week despite the juicy matchup.

San Antonio had two receivers over the 100-yard threshold last week (Justin Smith with 107, Jontre Kirklin with 105), and this week's matchup with Arlington is another opportunity to shine. Kirklin leads the league with 40 targets and is second with 271 receiving yards. He is the most trustworthy receiver in the league right now.

Michigan's Marcus Simms has made magic happen on limited targets. He leads the league in receiving yards (281) and touchdowns (3) and has the perfect matchup to make it happen again this week.

Daewood Davis has just four catches for 29 yards over the last two weeks. His upside is severely limited if Case Cookus cannot go this week. Beware of any Memphis weapon if Troy Williams draws the start.

DC's Kelvin Harmon broke out last week on a five-catch, 93-yard performance with a touchdown in a narrow defeat. The Defenders have another tough matchup this week against St. Louis, and quarterback Jordan Ta'amu will have to lean on his most talented playmaker in the passing game.

Tight End UFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Rankings and analysis by Andrew Lennox

As anticipated, the three top-ranked tight ends have remained consistent heading into Week 5, and if they remain healthy, their steadiness is likely to continue throughout the rest of the season.

Rank Player Name Team
1 Cody Latimer San Antonio Brahmas
2 Sage Surratt Memphis Showboats
3 Jace Sternberger Birmingham Stallions
4 Sal Cannella Arlington Renegades
5 Jake Sutherland St. Louis Battlehawks
6 Braedon Bowman Houston Roughnecks
7 Alex Ellis D.C. Defenders
8 Kemari Averett St. Louis Battlehawks
9 Cole Hikutini Michigan Panthers
10 Alize Mack St. Antonio Brahmas

Birmingham's Jace Sternberger jumped ahead of Arlington's Sal Cannella in this week's tight-end rankings. He's had two consecutive impressive weeks, and in Week 4, he was targeted four times, hauling in two passes for 50 yards. Cannella could easily bounce back after having an off-week, catching one pass on four targets for 17 yards.

Brahmas Cody Latimer continues to be the top fantasy tight end after Week 4. San Antonio collected a 19-9 win over Michigan and Latimer caught five of seven targets for 32 yards

Sage Surratt will remain a valuable fantasy asset after making four catches on six targets for 24 yards against St. Louis. He's received a consistent flow of passes thrown his way during the previous four Memphis contests.
