Quarterback UFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Rankings and analysis by Brant Henson

Week 3 was highlighted by an impressive performance from E.J. Perry (30.3 fantasy points) and a tough day through the air from A.J. McCarron (152 passing yards). Adrian Martinez (31.8 fantasy points) lit the league on fire while advancing Birmingham to a 3-0 record.

Rank Player Name Team
1 A.J. McCarron St. Louis Battlehawks
2 Luis Perez Arlington Renegades
3 Adrian Martinez Birmingham Stallions
4 Case Cookus Memphis Showboats
5 Reid Sinnett Houston Roughnecks
6 Quinten Dormady San Antonio Brahmas
7 Jordan Ta'amu DC Defenders
8 E.J. Perry Michigan Panthers
9 Matt Corral Birmingham Stallions

Despite his poor stats last week, A.J. McCarron remains the top quarterback option for Week 4 as St. Louis gears up to play a Memphis defense that has surrendered the most passing yards per game in the league. He is in a prime position to bounce back fantasy-wise this week.

Adrian Martinez's impressive Week 3 performance should solidify the QB1 job in Birmingham as his for now, although Matt Corral will be ready to step back in if needed. Martinez has the highest ceiling out of any quarterback in the league but be cautious playing him given Birmingham's reluctance to stick with one quarterback.

Luis Perez and Reid Sinnett could find themselves in a bit of a shootout this week -- Arlington (27.7) and Houston (25.0) have allowed the most and second-most points per game this season.

Chase Garbers is on the injured reserve, with Quinten Dormady in place to start for San Antonio this week. E.J. Perry is coming off of a breakout performance but beware of both quarterbacks in this week's matchup. San Antonio and Michigan have allowed the least and second-least passing yards through three games.

Running Back UFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Rankings and analysis by Andrew Lennox

Following Week 3, numerous teams are now grappling with decisions regarding their primary tailback heading into Week 4, potentially introducing some issues for fantasy football managers.

Rank Player Name Team
1 C.J. Marable Birmingham Stallions
2 Wes Hills Michigan Panthers
3 De'Veon Smith Arlington Renegades
4 Anthony McFarland Jr. San Antonio Brahmas
5 Mataeo Durant St. Louis Battlehawks
6 Leddie Brown Arlington Renegades
7 T.J. Pledger IV Houston Roughnecks
8 Ricky Person Jr. Birmingham Stallions
9 Cam'Ron Harris D.C. Defenders
10 Jacob Saylors St. Louis Battlehawks
11 Mark Thompson Houston Roughnecks
12 John Lovett San Antonio Brahmas
13 Darius Victor Memphis Showboats
14 Matthew Colburn II Michigan Panthers
15 Titus Swen Memphis Showboats

Battlehawks running back Mataeo Durant had an impressive outing in Week 2 but he took a back seat to Jacob Saylors in Week 3. Saylors rushed seven times for 62 yards against San Antonio and he could be the main back again in Week 4 as he registered a touchdown on a 19-yard rush in the fourth quarter. Fellow back Wayne Gallman was inactive in Week 3 after playing in the two previous contests.

De'Veon Smith earned 63 yards on 14 carries in a Week 3 loss to the Defenders. He is averaging 4.5 per game, but fantasy managers need to be aware that Smith is going to be competing for carries in Week 4, as Leddie Brown logged 40 yards on 10 touches.

Houston's Mark Thompson could make his season debut in Week 4. The tailback has been recovering from a knee injury. If he is available, he will provide a big boost to head coach Curtis Johnson's offense.

Birmingham tailback C.J. Marable had some company in the backfield in Week 3, with Ricky Person Jr. rushing eight times for 37 yards. Person Jr. also caught two passes for 39 yards and was targeted three times. Each back could be a significant fantasy factor going into Week 4.

Wide Receiver UFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Rankings and analysis by Brant Henson

Week 3's most impressive showings were headlined by Arlington's Tyler Vaughns (9-109-1), Birmingham's Deon Cain (7-144), and the reemergence of St. Louis's Hakeem Butler (6-87-1).

24Emmanuel ButlerHouston Roughnecks

Rank Player Name Team
1 Deon Cain Birmingham Stallions
2 Jontre Kirklin San Antonio Brahmas
3 Darrius Shepherd St. Louis Battlehawks
4 Hakeem Butler St. Louis Battlehawks
5 Marcus Simms Michigan Panthers
6 Marcell Ateman St. Louis Battlehawks
7 Justin Hall Houston Roughnecks
8 Tyler Vaughns Arlington Renegades
9 Marquez Stevenson San Antonio Brahmas
10 Trey Quinn Michigan Panthers
11 Jonathan Adams Memphis Showboats
12 Daewood Davis Memphis Showboats
13 Deontay Burnett Arlington Renegades
14 JaVonta Payton Arlington Renegades
15 Kelvin Harmon DC Defenders
16 Vinny Papale Memphis Showboats
17 Chris Rowland DC Defenders
18 Cyril Grayson Houston Roughnecks
19 Isaiah Winstead Arlington Renegades
20 Brandon Smith DC Defenders
21 Binjimen Victor Birmingham Stallions
22 Ty Scott DC Defenders
23 Keke Chism Houston Roughnecks
24 Keke Coutee DC Defenders
25 Devin Gray Michigan Panthers
26 Amari Rodgers Birmingham Stallions
27 Justin Smith San Antonio Brahmas
28 Kevin Austin Jr. Birmingham Stallions
29 Siaosi Mariner Michigan Panthers

Deon Cain finds himself on top of the list for the first time this season following his impressive Week 3 showing. The Birmingham passing attack was tough to trust with the carousel at quarterback over the first two weeks, but with Adrian Martinez seemingly settling in under center, this should change. Cain has proven to be the top target for Martinez and the matchup is great this week against a DC defense that has allowed the second-most passing yards through three games.

Jontre Kirklin is the top target hog in the league, averaging 10.7 targets per game. He has a safe floor as the go-to receiver for Chase Garbers even in a tougher matchup on paper.

Wheels up for St. Louis receivers this week. One is bound to hit every week, as Hakeem Butler, Darrius Shepherd, and Marcell Ateman have all had spike weeks. The matchup with Memphis's soft pass defense should allow for multiple strong fantasy games in the St. Louis passing attack.

If you need to take a flier at receiver this week, look at the Houston-Arlington game. These two defenses are allowing the most points in the league and rank third and fourth in passing yards surrendered. Tyler Vaughns had a big week last week, but this week could be JaVonta Payton or Isaiah Winstead's time to shine. In Houston, Justin Hall has quietly usurped a solid portion of Kirk Merritt's work.

UPDATE: St. Louis' Jahcour Pearson has been added back to the active roster. It is unclear if he will play this week but if he does, expect him to potentially take on a big role immediately. Keep an eye on his status, and slot him into the rankings at 10 just ahead of Trey Quinn this week if he suits up.

Tight End UFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Rankings and analysis by Andrew Lennox

As anticipated, just a handful of tight ends have maintained consistency heading into Week 4, and their steadiness is likely to continue throughout the rest of the season.

Rank Player Name Team
1 Cody Latimer San Antonio Brahmas
2 Sage Surratt Memphis Showboats
3 Sal Cannella Arlington Renegades
4 Jace Sternberger Birmingham Stallions
5 Kemari Averett St. Louis Battlehawks
6 Braedon Bowman Houston Roughnecks
7 Alex Ellis D.C. Defenders
8 Jake Sutherland St. Louis Battlehawks
9 Cole Hikutini Michigan Panthers
10 Alize Mack St. Antonio Brahmas

Coming out of the gate, it looked like Jake Sutherland would be the main tight end for the Battlehawks. However, he's only been targeted four times in three weeks. St. Louis's quarterback A.J. McCarron instead utilized TE Kemari Averett in Week 3, tossing him two passes that he hauled in for 19 yards.

In Saturday's victory over Memphis, Birmingham's Jace Sternberger made an impact with four receptions on six targets for 73 yards and a touchdown. His physical presence proved challenging for the Showboats, as he repeatedly exploited gaps in Memphis's secondary. He also recorded his first touchdown of the season in the contest. Despite his limited involvement in Birmingham's passing game so far, the 27-year-old Stallions tight end remains a strong fantasy option, especially after his performance in Week 3.

Despite San Antonio losing to St. Louis 31-24, Brahmas tight end Cody Latimer still stood out as the team's leader in receiving yards. The NFL veteran has logged consecutive games with nine targets each, resulting in 15 receptions over this period. Brahmas quarterback Chase Garbers is out for the remainder of the 2024 UFL season due to an undisclosed injury he suffered in Week 3. As a result, Quinten Dormady is likely to be the starting QB moving forward. Latimer is familiar with Dormady as he was under center when they both played for the Orlando Guardians during the 2023 season in the XFL.

Memphis has dropped two games in a row, but Sage Surratt continues to be a bright spot on the team's offensive side. The 26-year-old caught four passes for 40 yards in Week 3. The Showboats are in for a tough matchup in Week 4. However, Surratt will remain one of signal-caller Case Cookus's top pass options throughout the season.
