IDP Waiver Wire Pickups and Streamers for Week 10 (2023)

Ravens Defense - Fantasy Football DST Rankings, Draft Sleepers, IDP Targets

Mitch Blatt's top IDP waiver wire adds and defensive streamers for Week 10 of the 2023 fantasy football season. These LB, DL, and DB have matchups worth exploiting.

The Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, and Philadelphia Eagles all go on bye in Week 10.

That will take some pass rushers fantasy IDP managers have been relying on out of commission, including Chris Jones, Jaelan Phillips, and Haason Reddick. How will you replace them?

Take a look at the Week 10 IDP waiver wire column to find DBs, LBs, and DLs to add in leagues of all kinds!

IDP Waiver Wire Adds In Shallow Leagues

Kenny Moore, CB, IND

I have listed Moore in my previous IDP waiver wire columns. Last week, he blew up. He has developed a good connection with Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, who threw him two touchdown passes on perfect connections. Unfortunately, he won't have Young throwing him passes again this season. He only has three interceptions on the season.

Anyway, he's primarily valuable for his tackling skills. He has made seven or more tackles in each of the past three games and five of the past six. His PFF tackling grade is 77.0, the highest of his career.

Jordyn Brooks, LB, SEA

Brooks made ten or more tackles in each of the past two games. He has also made 3.5 sacks since Week 4. Those sacks all came against terrible offenses: the Giants, the Cardinals, and P.J. Walker's Browns. Next week, they face another sack-prone team, the Washington Commanders, who are allowing the second-most sacks.

Jessie Bates, S, ATL

Jessie Bates has made six or more tackles in each of the past three weeks. He made three interceptions in the first three weeks of the season.

He hasn't made an interception since Week 3, but he still has the ball skills, and he has matchups coming up against the Cardinals, the Jets, the Buccaneers, the Panthers, and the Colts over the next seven weeks. He has a good chance to make some picks in some of those games.

Camryn Bynum, S, MIN

The Vikings face the Saints, who are running an average of 69.1 plays per game (No. 3 most), in Week 10. Bynum is grading at 85.1 overall, 73.4 against the run, and 76.4 at tackling. All signs are pointing to a big tackle week for Bynum.

IDP Waiver Wire Adds In Deep Leagues

Paulson Adebo, CB, NO

You need to know about Paulson Adebo. He has made three interceptions in the past two games. Now with four interceptions, Adebo is tied for No. 2 in the league.

Adebo doesn't face the same favorable schedule he did in the past two weeks, which included Gardner Minshew and Tyler Bagent, but come Week 14, he has a two-week stretch against Bryce Young and whoever the Giants are starting at that point.

Taron Johnson, CB, BUF

Johnson remains the Bills' starter at cornerback, and he continues to make a fair amount of solo tackles each week. Not only has he made 22 solo tackles since Week 6, but he has also made tackles behind the line of scrimmage, sacks, and pass defenses. Johnson would be a good CB2 or CB3 in deep leagues.

Nate Landman, LB, ATL

In recent weeks, Landman has taken over as the Falcons starting linebacker. Last week, he played 74 of Atlanta's 75 defensive snaps against the Minnesota Vikings and made ten total tackles, a sack, two tackles for losses, and a pass defense.

Josh Metellus, S, MIN

Despite being listed as the Vikings' No. 3 safety, Metellus has actually played most of his snaps lined up as a slot corner or a linebacker. The fourth-year man is having a breakout season. He has already doubled his previous career-highs for snaps and combined tackles. He is being graded by PFF at 72.5.

Damontae Kazee, S, PIT

With Minkah Fitzpatrick missing Week 9, Kazee played all 74 of the Steelers' defensive snaps and made seven combined tackles. Fitzpatrick's status for Week 10 is uncertain, and he might miss it, too. Keep an eye on the injury reports.

IDP Waiver Wire Adds In Big-Play Leagues

This season, I also started a fantasy league that heavily rewards big plays. The highest-scoring linebacker of Week 9, for example, was Joey Bosa, who made 2.5 sacks, forced a fumble, and recovered a fumble. Now, that would be a good performance in any IDP league, but it scored 55.1 points in my Big Play Bonus League. It would have only scored about 30 points in a different system, like IDP123 scoring.

You might not play in my big-play league, but there are other scoring formats that disproportionately reward sacks, interceptions, and impact plays and value tackles less aggressively. I am going to be recommending a couple of players to target in such leagues.

Kyle Van Noy, DE, BAL

You might be surprised to realize Kyle Van Noy is still in the league, and he's playing for the Ravens. So were the boys on Pardon My Take this week. Over the past four years, Van Noy, who is now 32 years old, has gone from the Dolphins to the Patriots, the the Chargers, and now joined the Ravens and started playing in Week 4. His Sleeper photo still shows him in a Chargers jersey.

In the past four weeks, Van Noy has made sacks in three games for a total of five sacks. He's not a well-rounded player; he is only grading at 46.8 on run defense. However, he's grading at 70.5 when it comes to his pass-rush abilities. It probably helps playing for a Ravens team that is leading the league in sacks. Last week, even with just 22 tackles, he made 2 sacks and forced a fumble.

Josh Uche, DE, NE

Uche didn't make an impact in his return from a two-week absence against Washington in Week 9. He only played 17 snaps and did not record a tackle or any other statistic. But in each of his previous games, he played more than 17 snaps, and he played over 20 snaps in four games. He should see more action going forward.

Germaine Pratt, LB, CIN

Pratt makes the list of highest-scoring waiver-wire candidates as an inside linebacker because of his propensity toward making impact plays this season. He has made two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and one sack in eight games. He also made double-digit tackles in three games, so if your league rewards a bonus for hitting that milestone, it's an added plus.

Stephon Gilmore, CB, DAL

In the long list of defensive backs with two interceptions, Stephon Gilmore stands out as one with a favorable upcoming schedule for a corner to make interceptions. He faces the Giants in Week 10, then Carolina's Bryce Young, who has thrown seven interceptions, in Week 11, followed by Sam Howell.
