Who Should Win The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship? - Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Jey Uso, The Rock

Cody Rhodes - Wrestling Rankings, Sleepers, WWE Injury News

Roman Reigns' run as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion continues. However, how would fans react if CM Punk, Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes, or The Rock beat him?

Roman Reigns has been at the top of World Wrestling Entertainment for years. He's had a successful run as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and has successfully dispatched many opponents along the way. In fact, he's been so dominant the company had to bring back the World Heavyweight Championship.

With Reigns rumored to take time off after Night of Champions, the WWE Universe is wondering just how long he'll keep the title. More importantly, who should beat him? Although some of the names thrown around aren't realistic, it's still fun to think about.

Cody Rhodes

Rhodes won the 2023 Royal Rumble and faced Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 39. By now, everyone knows how things turned out. But just when it seemed Rhodes would win the reincarnated World Heavyweight Championship on Raw, Brock Lesnar put a stop to that. The American Nightmare and Lesnar may finish their feud at Night of Champions.

But once that program concludes, Rhodes should "finish the story" by capturing the title that eluded his father, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. Sure, he'll likely win the World Heavyweight Championship, possibly before the end of the year. But truth be told, it wouldn't mean as much, so professional wrestling logic could make it possible for Rhodes to challenge for the top prize on SmackDown!

The Rock

A meeting between The Rock and Roman Reigns has been rumored for years, but it hasn't happened. At this point, most of the WWE Universe has given up hope that the encounter will happen.

Still, with Wrestlemania 40 anticipated to be the biggest event in the history of the company, Triple H will need to book a match of this caliber. Granted, a young up-and-coming Superstar would benefit more from beating The Tribal Chief and ending his "reign" as the champ. However, The Rock holding title would get eyes on the product.

CM Punk

CM Punk has been away from All Elite Wrestling since the altercation with The Elite after All Out. Although he's rumored to return to the organization, who knows how much longer he'll remain cordial with Tony Khan.

Obviously, this one is a long shot, but the professional wrestling community began talking after The Best in the World was spotted backstage at Raw in Chicago in April. At one point, it seemed unfathomable to think Punk would ever step inside a WWE ring again. That said, stranger things have happened, so it's possible Punk returns at some point before hanging up his boots, even if it's not against Roman Reigns.

Jey Uso

Jey Uso is a big reason the Bloodline story has worked so well. Without question, The Usos are arguably the best tag team in WWE history. However, Jey seems to have surpassed Jimmy in popularity, so many continue to hope the former will break out as a singles competitor. Naturally, a match between The Rock and Roman Reigns would be a bigger box office attraction.

But Jey winning the belt would organically make more sense. It would also open the door for new matches, feuds, and storylines, which is never bad. With the Usos seemingly in hot water with the Tribal Chief, will Jimmy turn on Jey to get back on Reigns' good side?
