Byron Buxton Dealing With Right Knee Soreness
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (knee) was removed in the first inning of Friday's game against the Boston Red Sox. During his first at-bat, he slid into second base for a double and then appeared to be in immense pain as he was taken out of the game. We initially weren't informed what the nature of his injury was, but the team is now calling it right knee soreness. He is still in the midst of being evaluated by the team and more information on the severity of the injury will be revealed after Friday's game. Trevor Larnach, Gilberto Celestino and Nick Gordon could all see their playing time go up if Buxton winds up landing on the injured list.
