BALLER MOVE: Target ~275
CURRENT ADP: 298
ANALYSIS: Marcell Ozuna had an underwhelming season in 2015, but all signs point to him bouncing back to his 2014 form. At this time last year, he was one of the most desirable young center fielders in the game.
Following a very impressive 2014, during which he slashed .269/.317/.455 with 23 HR at age 23, Ozuna was demoted to Triple-A New Orleans in early July following a slow start. He re-joined the Marlins on August 15, and slashed .278/.320/.469 over 172 plate appearances the rest of the way. Upon his return, his line drive percentage jumped up to 24.6%, and his HR/FB ratio reached 13%. Overall, the young Dominican slashed a disappointing .259/.308/.383, but there is plenty to like in terms of potential to bounce back in 2016.
If Ozuna can maintain the mechanical adjustments he made during his time in Triple-A last season, there is every reason to believe he will not only can exceed his 2014 production. Additionally, the Marlins will be moving in their fences, so that should help bolster his 2016 offensive output. With a current ADP of 286, Ozuna should definitely be given a serious look late in fantasy drafts due to his massive upside.
