BALLER MOVE: Target in Middle Rounds
ANALYSIS: Brandon Moss was shipped to the Cleveland Indians this offseason after three straight 20-home run seasons with the Athletics. Playing in Oakland held him back offensively, but Moss, a left-handed power hitter, will thrive in a hitter-friendly park like Cleveland's Progressive Field. He will bat in the middle of a solid lineup, facing weaker pitching than he did in the AL West. In 34 plate appearances at Progressive Field, Moss has hit .324. After the Yoenis Cespedes trade last year, there was pressure on Moss to produce power. Now Moss just gets to relax and can focus on his style of hitting. Moss is the perfect sleeper for a disciplined fantasy owner who can ride the hot streaks and sit him during the slumps. His late slump last year may send him sliding down draft boards, allowing you to take him later than his mid-round range from 2014. Moss will be a nice compliment to a solid draft, so snag him while he’s affordable in the middle rounds.
