ANALYSIS:  The New York Jets tied a record this past weekend and are just one game away from becoming the only franchise in the history of the NFL... to lose a matchup for the 14th consecutive time. Yes, that's right. The Jets are coming off their 13th straight loss to the New England Patriots. Some things not even Tom Brady (not being there) can fix.

One that can fix plenty of things for needy fantasy GMs or folks streaming the position and navigating the bye weeks (with the heaviest of them coming in Week 9 with six teams off the schedule) is grabbing some shares of Jets QB Zach Wilson.

I know you are thinking I've lost my mind, but bear with me for a minute here. The Jets faced New England on Sunday, lost 17-22, and endured a very tough game... and that benefited all fantasy matters because of the positive/passing game script. Alas: Zach Wilson, Garrett Wilson, and Tyler Conklin ended with big-time fantasy hauls.

That will be the case next week with New York facing Buffalo. Wilson is coming off his second-best game of the year thanks to an outing in which he bested all of his prior highs: attempts (41), completions (20), passing yards (355), touchdowns (2), and interceptions (3). Of course, the interceptions dropped Wilson below the 20-FP mark relegating him to a close-but-no-cigar 19.4 FP in the evening.

That's the Wilson we can expect next weekend. There might or might not be a bunch of interceptions. The same goes for the touchdowns. But the attempts and (one has to assume, to a certain extent) the completions will inevitably be there.

Don't bet on Wilson putting on weekly 19+ FP outings, but keep some faith up at least until we get past the heavy bye period.
