ANALYSIS: Xavier Worthy enters this week as a strong WR3 with an appealing boom upside for fantasy managers.
Last week, he showed his potential as a playmaker, garnering eight targets and catching four for 37 yards and a touchdown. While his yardage wasn’t overwhelming, his involvement, especially as a red-zone target, signals his potential role in a pass-heavy offense.
This week’s matchup between the Chiefs and Buccaneers is projected to be high-scoring, which would provide Worthy with more opportunities to capitalize on his deep-play abilities.
As the Chiefs’ primary deep threat, he could exploit a Buccaneers defense susceptible to big plays, particularly if the game turns into an offensive shootout. With DeAndre Hopkins and Travis Kelce operating as Mahomes’ primary quick-read targets, Worthy is positioned to benefit from single coverage downfield.
