Unfortunately, the quarterback suffered an oblique injury that forced him to be sidelined for Week 6, and now he is feared to miss Week 7 as well.

Derek Carr Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Carr (oblique) was once again absent from Tuesday's practice as he continues to recover from the left oblique strain he sustained during the Saints' Week 5 loss to the Chiefs.
His continued absence isn’t a surprise, as the injury has kept him off the field, and while it's fortunate that Carr is expected to avoid an injured reserve stint, he is still likely to miss several games.
The Saints face a quick turnaround in Week 7 with a Thursday night matchup against the Denver Broncos, making it even more challenging for Carr to recover in time.
All signs point to the team officially ruling him out once Wednesday's injury report is released.
Derek Carr and Chris Olave did not practice on the Saints estimated practice report today.
If the Saints don't have Olave that will help Denver if they also don't have Pat Surtain.

Derek Carr Fantasy Football Outlook
In Carr's absence, rookie Spencer Rattler appears on track to make his second consecutive start. Fantasy managers and Saints fans alike will need to brace for the possibility of multiple weeks without Carr under center as he continues to rehab the injury.
When Carr returns from his oblique injury, he can be viewed as a solid QB2 option in fantasy football.
In his first five weeks of the season, Carr has thrown for 989 yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions, showing a decent level of production despite some early struggles.
Carr’s ability to spread the ball around and his experience in leading the Saints’ offense give him the potential for consistent fantasy output. While he's not a top-tier quarterback, he offers enough upside in matchups where the Saints are forced into more pass-heavy game scripts.
His yardage totals and touchdown potential make him a serviceable QB2, especially in deeper leagues or two-quarterback formats, once he's back to full health.
Fantasy managers will need to continue to monitor his practice status throughout the next couple of weeks.
