Steven Okert Optioned To Triple-A, Andrew Suarez Called Up To Start Wednesday

The San Francisco Giants have optioned relief pitcher Steven Okert to Triple-A. Okert was called up prior to Tuesday’s game and did not make an appearance. Starting pitcher Andrew Suarez  will take his spot on the big league roster and start Wednesday in a tough matchup versus the Diamondbacks. Suarez can be avoided in all formats.

Will Smith Ready To Return May 1

San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Will Smith (elbow) is on track to return to the big leagues on May 1. Smith has been recovering from Tommy John surgery. He likely won’t be placed into high-leverage situations out of the gate and can be avoided in all leagues.
