Austin Jackson Leaves Wednesday’s Game Early With Tight Groin
San Francisco Giants outfielder Austin Jackson (groin) left Wednesday’s game in the seventh inning with a tight groin. Manager Bruce Bochy said he was removed as a precaution. Jackson was 1-for-2 with a single, run and walk before being replaced by Gregor Blanco. It sounds like Jackson’s status is day-to-day and he will hope to […]
Buster Posey Continues Hot Start With Another Home Run Wednesday
San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey hit his second home run of the season Wednesday afternoon versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. Posey has been off to a hot start, hitting .389 so far. He finished the game 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
Andrew Suarez Strikes Out Seven In Major League Debut
Making his major league debut, San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Andrew Suarez went 5 1/3 innings. Suarez allowed four runs, but looked good and struck out seven batters. He also didn’t issue a walk during his outing. Suarez is worth a look in NL-only leagues and worth monitoring in deeper leagues. However, owners should be […]
Tyler Beede To Start Sunday
San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Tyler Beede will make his second start Sunday versus the San Diego Padres. Beede allowed five walks in his major league debut on Tuesday and lasted just four innings in which he allowed two runs versus the Diamondbacks. The San Francisco Giants have optioned relief pitcher Steven Okert to Triple-A. Okert was called up prior to Tuesday’s game and did not make an appearance. Starting pitcher Andrew Suarez will take his spot on the big league roster and start Wednesday in a tough matchup versus the Diamondbacks. Suarez can be avoided in all formats.
Will Smith Ready To Return May 1
San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Will Smith (elbow) is on track to return to the big leagues on May 1. Smith has been recovering from Tommy John surgery. He likely won’t be placed into high-leverage situations out of the gate and can be avoided in all leagues.
Tyler Beede Walks Five Batters In Major League Debut
San Francisco Giants top pitching prospect Tyler Beede only lasted four innings in his major league debut versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. Beede gave up two runs, three hits and struck out three batters, but walked five. Beede faced a tough offense Tuesday and if he can limit his walks, he should improve. He will battle […]
Andrew McCutchen Leads Giants To Walk-Off Victory
San Francisco Giants outfielder Andrew McCutchen delivered a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday to give the Giants the victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. McCutchen finished the game 1-for-3 with a run scored, two RBI and two walks. McCutchen now has two walk-off hits for his new team in the […]

San Francisco Giants closer Hunter Strickland blew his first save of the season Tuesday evening. San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija (pectoral) will make one more rehab start after feeling good during his most recent outing on Monday. Giants Place Johnny Cueto On Disabled List
The San Francisco Giants have placed starting pitcher Johnny Cueto (ankle) on the 10-day disabled list with a left ankle sprain. It’s a shame, as Cueto has been off to a hot start. Pitcher Albert Suarez is expected to start Wednesday in place of Cueto, and the club also promoted pitcher Steven Okert to take Cueto’s […]
Johnny Cueto Expected To Miss Wednesday’s Start, Could Be Placed On DL
San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Johnny Cueto (ankle) tweaked his ankle while working out over the weekend. FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (4/9/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice
FanDuel's pricing tightened significantly over the weekend to the point where it's once again difficult to find regulars who are priced under 3K. With Noah Syndergaard, Max Scherzer, and Justin Verlander all on the slate, it'll be important to spot mispriced players in cash games. There are also some pretty terrible pitchers to stack against […]
