Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Armani Watts Put On IR
The Kansas City Chiefs placed offensive guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (leg) and safety Armani Watts (undisclosed) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday and signed free-agent linebacker Frank Zombo in a corresponding move. Although Duvernay-Tardif wasn't a very effective starter on the offensive line, it'll be a hit to KC's line moving forward.
Bengals Waive Thomas Rawls
The Cincinnati Bengals waived running back Thomas Rawls on Tuesday. It's a bit surprising with Giovani Bernard (knee) out a few weeks, but the Bengals apparently are comfortable with rookie Mark Walton backing up Joe Mixon in the meantime.
Adrian Peterson Expected To Play In Week 6
Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson (shoulder) is dealing with a strained shoulder and will get a second opinion, but he is expected to play in Week 6 against the Panthers, according to a source. It's not a foregone conclusion that Peterson will be able to play this Sunday, although he'll remain in play as […]
Eagles Offensive Line Not Up To Par
The Philadelphia Eagles offensive line has been a weakness so far through five weeks of the season. "Right now we're struggling on the offensive line because we have to block longer. We have a quarterback that's coming off of an injury and he wants to make a play," left tackle Jason Peters said. "We just […]
Falcons Offense Struggling Outdoors
The Atlanta Falcons offense has struggled so far in two road games outdoors (at Eagles and at Steelers), averaging 14.5 points in those two losses. Running backs Devonta Freeman, Tevin Coleman and Ito Smith combined to average less than 3.0 yards per carry on 18 attempts against Pittsburgh. That shouldn't be a worry for fantasy […]
Chargers Backfield On Pace To Make History
The Los Angeles Chargers backfield of running backs Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler is on pace for 3,216 yards from scrimmage this year, which would top the record for a backfield duo set by Saints backs Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram in 2017 (3,094 yards). Gordon is an RB1 each and every week, especially now […]
Jaguars Add David Williams, David Grinnage To Active Roster
The Jacksonville Jaguars added running back David Williams and tight end David Grinnage to the active roster on Tuesday. Williams was signed off the Broncos practice squad, while Grinnage was promoted from the practice squad. Williams will likely be third on the depth chart behind T.J. Yeldon and recently-signed Jamaal Charles for Week 6 against […]
Jaguars Signing Jamaal Charles
The Jacksonville Jaguars are signing free-agent running back Jamaal Charles on Tuesday, according to a source. In a corresponding move, running back Brandon Wilds was waived. That means that Charles should be the direct backup to T.J. Yeldon in Week 6 against the Cowboys. The veteran back had 69 carries for 296 yards (4.3 yards […]
Bucs Sign Ali Marpet To Extension
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreed to terms on a six-year deal with offensive guard Ali Marpet on Tuesday. The deal will begin this year and will add five years to the deal. Marpet has been solid on the team's offensive line since he was drafted in the second round in 2015, although he missed some […]
Browns Promote Dontrell Hilliard To Active Roster
The Cleveland Browns promoted running back Dontrell Hilliard from the practice squad to the active roster on Tuesday and waived defensive back Jerimiah McKinnon in a corresponding move. Hilliard was an undrafted free agent and had 32 carries for 82 yards and two receptions for 28 yards in the preseason. With Carlos Hyde, Duke Johnson […]
Corey Clement (RB, PHI) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues OWNED IN: 26% of Leagues ANALYSIS: With the recent news of Jay Ajayi's torn ACL, he is out for the season which will make Corey Clement and Wendell Smallwood two of this week's top waiver wire adds. Clement was seeing most of the carries while Ajayi was out a […]
Alfred Morris (RB, SF) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues OWNED IN: 42% of Leagues ANALYSIS: Most waiver wire recommendations include several backs who could deliver excellent results at some point during the season, along with other rushers who are currently generating adequate scoring despite the obstacle of shared touches. However, San Francisco 49ers running back Alfred Morris supplies the most […]
Ronald Jones (RB, TB) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-Team Leagues OWNED IN: 25% of Leagues ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones has a different situation from fellow first-year back Nick Chubb, in that Jones already has a significant opportunity that has been presented to him, but his ability to capitalize remains in question. He emerged in Week 4, […]
D'Onta Foreman (RB, HOU) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team PPR Leagues OWNED IN: 20% of Leagues ANALYSIS: Houston Texans running back D'Onta Foreman will be eligible to return from the PUP list after this week's matchup, in the next phase of his recovery from the Achilles injury that he suffered last November. It will be easier to secure […]
Mike Davis (RB, SEA) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 10-Team Leagues OWNED IN: 19% of Leagues ANALYSIS: This suggestion is not based upon a belief that Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll will elevate running back Mike Davis into weekly RB1 responsibilities. Instead, the rationale for adding him is based upon the likelihood that Carroll will also fail to entrust Chris Carson with […]
Devontae Booker (RB, DEN) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-Team PPR Leagues OWNED IN: 4% of Leagues ANALYSIS: It may seem like a strange time to invest in Devontae Booker, considering that so far through five games he has only accrued 36 rushing yards on just eleven carries, not to mention the fact that he has failed to put up […]
Darren Sproles Misses Practice Again
Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles (hamstring) is missing his second straight practice on Tuesday. Sproles hasn't appeared in a game since the season opener and looks highly unlikely to suit up on a short week against the Giants on Thursday. There remains no timetable to return. Even with Jay Ajayi (knee) out for the […]
Marlon Mack (RB, IND) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-Team Leagues OWNED IN: 22% of Leagues ANALYSIS: You may prefer to avoid even contemplating the addition of an Indianapolis running back, considering the convoluted situation that exists at the position. Nevertheless, while Nyheim Hines has built a legitimate case for including him on rosters in PPR leagues, Jordan Wilkins' value has dropped in […]
Eagles Asking About LeSean McCoy
The Philadelphia Eagles have inquired about trading for Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy, according to a source. McCoy spent the first six years of his career with the Eagles and would likely to be willing to leave a rebuilding project in Buffalo. The Eagles need help at running back with Jay Ajayi (knee) done […]
Alfred Blue (RB, HOU) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 10-Team PPR Leagues OWNED IN: 10% of Leagues ANALYSIS: Houston Texans running back Alfred Blue saw the start on Sunday night in place of an injured Lamar Miller and totaled 119 yards. His rushing average wasn't too encouraging though, at just over two yards a pop (20 carries, 46 yards). There isn't a ton […]
Jalen Richard (RB, OAK) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-Team PPR Leagues OWNED IN: 5% of Leagues ANALYSIS: While Marshawn Lynch has repeatedly demonstrated that he can still perform effectively as Oakland’s primary rusher, Jalen Richard has developed into a consistent pass catching back for the Raiders. He has now been targeted 29 times during the season, which has allowed him to […]

Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups - All Positions
It took five weeks but the vultures are finally starting to come out. We saw it in Detroit, where talented rookie Kerryon Johnson turned 12 carries into 70 yards while LeGarrette Blount turned 12 carries into 22 yards yet cashed in twice on short touchdown scores. Despite the return of Devonta Freeman in Atlanta, it […]

While this has been frustrating, it is essential that you manage your emotions, avoid making impulsive decisions, and utilize […]
The Cut List - Players on the Chopping Block (Week 6)
This is your weekly list of players to drop. I will do my best to limit this list to injured players and players you might consider holding. If you roster pure handcuffs or backups, obviously you can let them go at any time. The players on this list will, ideally, be guys that aren't clearly […]
Corey Clement Practicing Again Tuesday
Philadelphia Eagles running back Corey Clement (quadriceps) is practicing for a second straight day on Tuesday, which is a good sign for his status on Thursday against the Giants. Clement has missed the last two weeks, but the Eagles surely need him back with Jay Ajayi (knee) now out for the rest of the year. […]
Jordan Howard Not Frustrated With His Role
Chicago Bears running back Jordan Howard wasn't angry about his role or lack thereof when he ran just 11 times for 25 yards in the blowout win over the Buccaneers in Week 4. It was the third straight game that he averaged 2.5 yards per carry or less this year, and Tarik Cohen had 13 […]
Jaguars Working Out Jamaal Charles, Charcandrick West
With Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) expected to miss his fourth game of the year in Week 6 and with Corey Grant (foot) out for the season, the team is bringing in free-agent running backs Jamaal Charles and Charcandrick West for workouts on Tuesday, according to a source informed of the visits.
