6 years agoNew York Mets manager Mickey Callaway said that starting pitcher Zack Wheeler will be shut down for the year. Corey Oswalt will fill his spot on Saturday against the Nationals. It ends a fantastic year for Wheeler, who finishes 12-7 with a 3.31 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 179 strikeouts in 182 1/3 innings across 29 starts. Hopefully he can this progress over to the 2019 season. Oswalt has a poor 6.31 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 6.0 K/9 over 15 outings (10 starts) this season and isn't a recommended fantasy streamer.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
