5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz (rib) suffered a fractured rib in the Week 16 win over the Cowboys, according to a source informed of the situation. Ertz is undergoing further tests and the Eagles are in wait-and-see mode to find out if it's an injury that Ertz can play through in Week 17 and into the playoffs if they advance that far. He went to the locker room on Sunday but returned and was clearly battling pain. Ertz finished with four catches on six targets for just 28 yards, while fellow tight end Dallas Goedert was a beast in the passing attack. Ertz leads Philly in catches (88) and receiving yards (916) this year, so losing him for any amount of time would be a death sentence to a team already missing receivers Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson and Nelson Agholor. If Ertz doesn't play this weekend against the Giants, Goedert would be an elite TE1.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
