Zac Veen Continues His Rehab Assignment
5 months agoColorado Rockies outfield prospect Zac Veen (back) continued his rehab assignment at High-A Spokane on Tuesday, going 1-for-4 with an RBI single and a walk after going 1-for-3 with a pair of walks in his previous game. Veen, the team's No. 6 prospect and the No. 90 prospect in all of baseball per MLB Pipeline, started his rehab assignment with three games in the Arizona Complex League on June 25 after previously working at the team's spring complex in Arizona. In addition to a lower-back strain, a left-hand/thumb injury has slowed Veen's progress. Before his injuries, he was off to a solid start at Double-A Hartford, slashing .326/.418/.568 in 28 games played. There's still a chance that we see Veen make his major-league debut later in the second half of the 2024 season.
