Yoshinobu Yamamoto Throws Bullpen On Tuesday
4 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto (triceps) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday at Dodger Stadium before the team's contest against the visiting Philadelphia Phillies. It comes after Yamamoto threw a 20-pitch bullpen on Saturday, which was his first since going on the injured list on June 16 with tightness in his right triceps. The 25-year-old Japanese hurler is clearly making progress, but he remains without a timetable for a return, and it's unknown is the Dodgers will require him to go on a minor-league rehab assignment before returning to the big-league starting rotation. We'll have a better idea of his timetable once he begins facing live hitters again. Although time is running out for Yamamoto to contribute in fantasy, he's worth stashing after going 6-2 with a 2.92 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 84 K's in 74 innings in his first 14 big-league starts this year.
